All band students must be wearing the correct attire at performances. Here is the appropriate attire that you should be wearing:

Beginning Band/Intro Band:

Boys: Long sleeve white collared shirt (No designs), Long dress pants, black socks, black shoes.

Girls: Long black dress to the ankle, it should not be short or have a design. No spaghetti straps unless they are covered with a cardigan. Black sandals.

Intermediate Band (8th Graders): 

Boys: Long sleeve, white collared shirt with no designs, Bow- tie, long dress pants, black socks, black shoes.

Girls: Long black dress gown with no designs, to the ankle, nothing shorter. No spaghetti straps unless covered by a cardigan. Black sandals.

Wind Ensembles(grades 9th-12th): 

Boys: Full tux, Long sleeve white collared shirt with no designs, black dress coat, bow tie, long dress pants, black socks, black shoes.

Girls: Long black dress to the ankle no designs, nothing shorter. No spaghetti straps unless covered by a cardigan. Black sandals.

Payments are due! Please turn in your $30 band fees into the payment box on Mr.Cablay’s office door. Before turning in your payments please make sure that your envelope is labeled with your name(first and last), cash is not acceptable (money orders and/or checks only), and checks must be payable to Waialua Bulldog Band Boosters. 

Congratulations! All of your hard work and dedication paid off on Thursday (9/17) and Friday (9/18). The marching band played exceptionally well during the parade and kept the students and audience energetic. As for the half-time show which never ceases to amaze, the marching band was up to par and raised the bar high for next year’s half-time show. The endless amount of fun continued after the successful football game in the band room. In the band room there was a bounce house(never too old to play in one) and of course it wouldn’t be a party if no one hit the Quan(haha). The girls showed up the boys during their infamous dance battle and as the lights went down the neon, strobe lights came on. A mini rave in the band room? Band kids say “Yes!” Now that homecoming is over, it doesn’t mean that your job is done. Next on the agenda is the Winter Concert.

This Saturday Waialua students will be hosting the beginning honor band rehearsal. This means we will need to be at the school early to help set up AND clean up.

STUDENTS: If you are able to help on Saturday or bring food please be at the band room by 7:30 at the latest! Do not be late. All high school honor band students SHOULD be helping.

PARENTS: We need to have food for the kids after rehearsal is done and we are all planning a potluck. Utensils will be provided by the band we need more food to feed at least 75 kids + the teachers. If you are able to bring food please message me on here and I will contact Mr. Cablay.
We need: Starch, main dishes, fruit & vegetables and desserts

Congratulations to all the high school honor band students on your auditions! We almost made our goal but no matter what happened we are all still successful and Mr. Cablay is proud of all of us! :] The worst part is over, but that doesn’t mean to stop practicing! I’ll be posting the rehearsal schedule on facebook, on the schedule tab and it will also be posted on the right side….right there…on your right. Okay guys, congratulations and don’t forget to practice.

The website for the Waialua High School Band is finally up and running! Right now, everything might be a bit boring to look at but changes will be made and will happen as I learn and progress, but for now please enjoy and explore the new Waialua High School Band website!
