The Whimsillusion Project - Short Story Anthology

Submissions are now OPEN for Volume 2.

Submissions are now closed for the inaugural Whimsillusion Project. However, if you have a story you’ve been working on and would still like to submit, you may request an extension by emailing us at contact@whimsillusion.com.

We will be announcing a new anthology soon with a different set of elements. You won’t want to miss it!

The Whimsillusion Project is an anthology of short stories comprised of different genres that share seven key elements. The only requirement is that it includes the mandatory elements, which will change with each Anthology.

The seven mandatory elements for Volume 2:
• A child named Trixie
• A T-Shirt
• A wheelchair
• Duct Tape
• A kiss with a stranger
• A miscommunication
• The line, “My epidermis is not for sale!”

BONUS ELEMENT: Every story must revolve around a traffic jam on a freeway.

You may interpret these elements in any way you want, and can use them in any way you deem fit. For more information, review our submission guidelines and terms.
