Help and healing for struggling neighbors
Since 1893, we’ve been here to help... thanks to caring individuals like you.
You make our enduring legacy of help, hope, and healing possible!
Through the years, many things about our ministry have changed. As the needs of our neighbors continue, your generous support has helped us renovate and expand our facilities. We’ve gone beyond our humble beginnings to now serve thousands of men, women, and children each year!
While our world—and even Wheeler Mission—are ever changing, one thing remains the same: Our commitment to model Christ’s love and provide the help, hope, and healing that change lives.

1,000 lunches. One incredible act of service. 🙌
A huge thank you to @orchardparkpres for partnering with Wheeler Mission to assemble 1,000 sack lunches for our guests. Because of your generosity and teamwork, these meals will help nourish men, women, and children at our Men’s Residential Center and Center for Women & Children.
We’re so grateful for our community who show up in such a big way—your impact is felt far beyond today.
Zachariah spent decades caught in addiction, instability, and survival mode. But even in the darkest moments, he felt God calling him forward.
After a breaking point, he walked miles to get help and arrived at Wheeler Mission. There, everything changed.
Through mentorship, faith, and community, Zachariah found healing, purpose, and a new life in Christ. Today, he’s in the Servant Leadership Training program—free from the addiction that once controlled him.
“It’s not my story—it’s God’s glory.”

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him.” Romans 15:13
Hope changes everything. As we trust in Him, we are filled with peace that carries us through every challenge. May that hope guide you this week.
Small acts of service can make a big impact. 💙
During a recent group effort from women apart of the @marywheelercircle, 200 lunches were prepared for the Center for Women & Children, helping ensure the women and families in our care have nourishing meals. They also took extra supplies and created 30 additional lunches for the Men’s Residential Center so even more guests could be served.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible. Your generosity helps provide care, dignity, and support to those we serve every day.
Take a guess… How many meals did Wheeler Mission serve last month?
Swipe to see the number of meals that nourished our neighbors! Every meal represents care, dignity, and hope for someone in need. Thank you for making these meals possible.
Former Wheeler Mission program graduate Justin Kramer opens up about the role that community generosity — especially from the @colts and the late Jim Irsay — played in his healing journey. Through meal support programs like Colts Caring Mondays, Irsay helped ensure that men like Justin could focus on recovery, not survival. Justin now serves at Wheeler Mission, offering the same hope he once received.

There are so many meaningful ways to serve at Wheeler Mission, and each one makes a real difference in the lives of the men, women, and children we serve.
You could help with meal service and provide a warm, welcoming presence during breakfast, lunch, or dinner. You might spend time during recreation, building relationships and offering encouragement. You could volunteer in our store, helping guests find what they need. Or you could serve as a donation sorter, organizing items that directly support our programs.
If you had to choose just one, which would you try? Tell us in the comments which opportunity you would sign up for.
We would love to serve alongside you! Discover how you can get involved: Link in bio.
