>>>MUCHO AGUA!!!>>>

My town in Massachusetts is officially living up to its name...LAKEVILLE...Oy...

If there is one person or more on your friends list who makes your world a better place just because they exist, and who you would not have met (in real life or not) without the internet, then post this same sentence in your journal.

The story of my life...

You are Conscientious, Prudent, and Unflappable.

Conscientious

You feel it's important to work according to a plan and finish every task, to do things correctly and thoroughly.

You are not the kind of person who abandons a project before finishing it, or slacks off when you've lost interest.

Prudent

You look before you leap, think before you act, consider what you're about to say before you open your mouth to speak; that's why you rarely have to eat your words.

You usually don't get excited easily or blurt out the first thing that comes to mind without considering the consequences.

Unflappable

You are not a slave to your emotions. It takes a lot to upset or unnerve you. That's why you're a good person to have around in a crisis.

You don't let it all hang out, which means that those around you often don't know the pressures you're under or what you're going through. You're not the kind of person people run from in a crisis.

Centered

You often feel balanced and on top of things, even when those around you are freaking out. You're in a pretty good state all the time, and not subject to drastic mood swings.

You don't usually react before you think; you're not ruled by your emotions.

Introspective

You like your own company; you're a very interesting person. Tracking your own mental processes, knowing what you're thinking and why you do what you do, is important to you. Often, what's going on in your mind is more compelling than what's going on outside.

You are not someone who is constantly looking to be among a group of friends; you never feel bored when you are by yourself.

For the most part, those with a high score on the "introspective" trait enjoy reading, taking long walks, learning new things, and other solitary activities.

Intellectual

You are thoughtful, rational, and comfortable in the world of ideas. People find you interesting to talk to. You're the living embodiment of the saying "You learn something new every day."

You do not avoid abstract conversation, experimenting with new ideas, or studying new things. It bores you to stick to the straight and narrow of what you already know.

In general, those with a high score on the "intellectual" trait are employed in such fields as teaching and research, and are enthusiastic about reading, foreign films, and classical music.

Resilient

You bounce back quickly from adversity. For you, all setbacks are temporary. You don't dwell on bad news, bad luck, or criticism; you regroup and focus on solving the problem, whatever it may be.

You almost never feel that there's too much on your plate, that you don't have the strength to deal with the bad hand you've been dealt, or that you're going to lose it if you have to deal with one more problem.

Solitary

You are a private person, not very comfortable in a big group, and view excessive socializing as a waste of time.

You not prefer hanging out with others to spending time alone; you do not tend to feel at home in a crowded room, club, stadium, or auditorium.

Focused

You know how to lock in on what's important. You quickly prepare yourself for a task, you don't procrastinate, and you don't let up until the job is done to your satisfaction.

You are the opposite of scattered. You don't procrastinate before starting a task, and you almost never lose track of what you're doing.

Astute

You are a quick study. You generally don't need to have things explained to you more than once. When presented with a problem, you will often have an instant understanding of where to look for the solution.

You do not take your sweet time when presented with a new task to complete or problem to solve. You don't avoid assignments that require you to learn new skills.

Thanks, Rhapsy. I needed this diversion. *hugs*

Writer's Block: Infamous

For me, 9/11 is my Pearl Harbor.
It appears that, once a year, I am moved to post here. Even though I had mentioned earlier that my life is relatively non-exciting for the most part. Boring, as a matter of fact. This condition has changed drastically in the past few weeks/months and I am JUST getting around to processing it all.

Let's start with the state of my physical health.

Note to audience:
Read "PHYSICAL," people! Not "MENTAL" (that degrades by end of post...), for all you chuckling out there....I CAN HEAR YOU!

Backtrack to three years ago. Had severe shoulder pain. had MRI. Basically it told then quack doctor that said wing was somewhat busted. Temporarily. Had Ostioarthritis it said. HA! Fine. At that time, coincidently,  I had stopped my martial arts training because other more pressing MEDICAL problems had put the brakes on all things physical  for me. Ok then....

Septenber 2006

I begin martial arts (MA) training again, focused on promoting to next black belt rank. Working out twice a week.

November 2007

Dad and I erected the steel pipe frame to my greenhouse. I drilled huge holes in railroad ties that served as foundation. Read, 12" drill bit, 1.5" holes, 8" deep. Kickback was a bitch, but it had to be done.

January 2008

Wing began to complain a bit by squeaking in elbow (tendonitis). I ignored it, went on diving trip to Cozumel in middle of February and had a blast. Elbow began to complain more. Ignored it more as well.

March 2008

Elbow in excrutiating pain now. Am on 1000mg Aleve, two weeks on, two weeks off. Gives somewhat moderate relief. Went to visit sister in AZ and still was working out at gym, both there and when I got home.

April 2008

All gym activity comes to screeching halt and can no longer lift weights or use machines. Still actively training in MAs. By the end of this month my shoulder is acting up again. I ignore it.

May 2008

Shoulder pain has gotten worse and so has elbow. By the end of the month I start shopping for sports med guy.  Still doing MAs, btw. Have stopped Aleve as it is not touching either area..Got appointment with surgeon for July 21st. *headdesk*

June-July 2008

Have powwow with MA instructor. Now that I have appt with Dr. we decide to push promotional up from September 2008 to middle of July. July 17th to be exact. Saw Dr. 21st. Brought 3-year old films. One look and he tells me the damage that was there at that time may have healed a bit but the impingment of tendon under collarbone will never go away. It is an inherited anatomical anormality. Bottom line, there is no room for tendon to flex when inflamed. It rubs on bone above and wears away rotator cuff below. He sends me for MRI that Friday. Am not amused.

This same day, the 21st, I had called my parents to let them know that it was my appointment, and my mother drops the bomb that they are on their way home from hospital from him having consult with oncologist. That the CT scan from the previous week found a 1.5 " growth in his lung. They are treating it as cancer. She goes on as if I had already known this. I said...What scan? What growth? Oh, didn't I tell you? FUCKING NO! You didn't tell me! *screams*. So now I nearly drive up a tree and hang up. Am fuming now, and less amused....

That night I talk with sister who is nurse at hospital that dad goes to. She gives me all the dirt. he has PT scan the same day as my MRI. Bloodwork that Sunday. Pre-op that Monday and biopsy on Weds. Am now on verge of homocidal insanity....

July 17, 2008

Worked all day. Took happy pill. Went to dojo. Kicked ass. Hurt wing more. Got new rank.....And strict orders from sifus and instructor to not show face again till wing is better. *Sirs, yes Sirs* *salutes*

July 25, 2008

I have MRI, dad has PT scan. The tumor lights up like christmas tree. Not good....Me?...am half deaf from boinging in MRI tube. Stupid magnets.....

July 28, 2008

My Dr. calls saying surgery is unavoidable, but will be lesser of the two possible evil procedures. Yay...Phooey. Schedule surgical excavation for August 22, 2008. Go me....

July 30, 2008

4:30PM. Spoke to dad before his surgery. He is calm as usual and just waiting for them to come get him. OR is 2 hours behind schedule. 7:30PM Dad has biopsy. Comes out of procedure very well. Now we wait for five days for Path report.

There you go.....My boring, uneventful life....in a nutshell....

Thank you all (and you know who you are) for your love and support, and the ears you have lent in light of my vent/ranting....Hugs to you all....

Will post as things progress....*smooches*

Oh Fecking Joy.....

Just found out infidel bastard (IB) (aka Husband) needs knee surgery. So guess who is having to care for his sorry wrinkled ass? ME! FECKING MEEEEEEE! I have to take two days of sick time off to get him to and from the hospital and then deal with his moaning ass through the weekend. HE goes in April 20th.

In the meantime, his feckbunny whore is coming to the house with a friend who is giving IB a native artifact (he is part native american). FECKBUNNY is this woman's (Sue) friend and was the one who introduced Sue to IB. And Sue wanted FECKBUNNY to come with her when she visited my house.

So, I have to stomach this bitch in my home once again, and have to smile and take it. I really need this divorce. I mean, REALLY, REALLY need it. Unfortunately, it is going to be a slow process and I have to keep IB clueless to the fact that I know all, until the last possible moment.

Thanks to you ladies once more, Keek, Elentari and Kwonnom, for helping me during my crash times. Seem to be happening a bit more frequently lately. Hugs! XXXOOO

I am a Slytherclaw! And Sick...WACHOO!

Took another silly test today, courtesy of Elentari, thank you very much. Scary how close the results mirror my personality (or lack thereof)

Oh, and I have reached a little more than 30000 words for Nano...woohooo! Going to blow my nose now...*snork*

You're a Slytherclaw!: By nature you are rational
and a realist. Some people may call you cynical
and elitist but this doesn't matter to you. You
don't depend on other people's opinions to
determine how you live your life. You are
generally cautious and prefer to weigh the
consequences before you act. In conflicts you
prefer to remain neutral and aloof. You value
intelligence and you are a natural diplomat,
you can convince people to do what you want
them to do. Your weakness is that you sometimes
think more with your head than with your heart
and it leads to isolation. With the
intelligence of a Ravenclaw and the subtlety of
a Slytherin you will be sure to achieve all
your goals!
