Join us for a special weekend of hacking hosted in partnership with NEAR Horizon! Build on NEAR and the Blockchain Operating System (BOS) to bring your Web3 ideas to life. Winning teams will get an exclusive invitation to participate in our inaugural 3-month Web3 Fellowship Incubator program and access to $20K in NEAR Horizon Credits to turn their hackathon project from prototype to product!

The Web3 Fellowship Incubator will run from July 10th - September 29th. The incubator will include monthly sprints, demo days, mentorship, and more to support the development of your project. Partners in the Web3 ecosystem will provide additional weekly product and technical mentorship as well as disburse project grants.

At the conclusion of the Web3 Fellowship Incubator, graduating teams will have the opportunity to showcase their project at a pitch and demo day to the NEAR team and other investors.

Requirements

  • We require all teams to submit a 3-5 minute or less demo video.
  • Your code must be available in some sort of public repository. 
  • Your code and video must remain public post-event if you want to continue being eligible for prizes. If your repo and video are not public, we will select new winners. 
  • Your demo video must state the name of the hackathon at the beginning of the video.  Ex. "Hey, I'm Sam, and this is my demo for Web3 Build Hackathon"
  • You must have completed all the registration steps on Devpost. 
  • Your video must be created the weekend of the hackathon. 
  • We don't allow you to submit your project to other hackathons.
  • We don't allow you to submit projects that include prior work.
  • There is no maximum or minimum team size, but we've noticed that teams perform best when they have a maximum of 4 hackers.

Judging Criteria

  • Team
    Is the team passionate about Web3 and excited to work together? Be sure to share in your demo video how your team worked together, what expertise you each bring to the table, and why you decided to build your hack.
  • Product & Market
    Talk about why you chose to work on a particular hack. Be sure to share the problem that you tried solving and the solution you came up with in your demo videos.
  • Technical Diligence
    Was the team able to integrate NEAR? How good was the technical implementation?
  • Business Model
    We want to hear about the revenue and business model behind your project! Brainstorm your product and market strategy, and share how you could scale and grow.
