What is the catch of the FREE version?

No catch! The Free version is fully functional with all core features: 3 input types, 2 layouts, Quick Add, delete protection, and search/filter. The only limit is 1,000 products. Most WooCommerce stores never reach this. If you do grow beyond 1,000 products, you'll get a friendly reminder to upgrade — and a grace period up to 1,500 products to give you time. You can compare the SKUs and features on our pricing page.

How many SKUs can I use with WEAM?

All versions have unlimited SKUs. The only difference is the included features and support levels. Keep in mind that your hosting might be your limit, not our license. 

Can I downgrade my license?

Sure, no. problem. You can do that up to 30 days before the renewal. Your settings are preserved. If you downgrade you will notice that certain features are no longer available.

Can I use WEAM on multiple websites?

Free version: unlimited websites. Pro version: 1 website per license. Need more? Our Pro+ tier has add-ons for multi-site usage, agency licenses and hosting licenses. Contact us for more information.

What happens when my subscription expires?

The plugin continues to work, but you won't receive updates or support. We recommend renewing to stay secure and get new features. You can renew anytime — even months later — without losing your settings.

Is my payment secure?

Absolutely. All payments are processed through secure, PCI-compliant payment providers. We never see or store your credit card details. You'll receive an invoice for every transaction.

Is there a money-back guarantee?

What are the minimum requirements?

WordPress 6.0 or higher, WooCommerce 7.0 or higher, and PHP 7.4 or higher. WEAM is tested up to the latest versions of WordPress and WooCommerce. If your hosting meets WooCommerce requirements, you're good to go.

Is WEAM compatible with my theme?

Yes! WEAM works entirely in the WordPress admin area — it has nothing to do with your frontend theme. It's compatible with any theme because it only changes how you edit product attributes in the backend, not how they display on your store.

How do I install WEAM?

Simple: Download the plugin, go to your WordPress Dashboard → Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, select the ZIP file, and click Install. Then activate. That's it! WEAM automatically works with all your existing attributes — no configuration required.

Can I try Pro features before buying?

Currently we don't offer a trial, but the Free version gives you a complete picture of how WEAM works. Pro adds advanced features like lazy loading, auto layout, and inline term creation — but the core experience is the same. Not satisfied? Contact us within 14 days for a refund.

Does WEAM work with WooCommerce product variations?

Yes. WEAM works with all WooCommerce attributes, whether used for product information or variations (Pro+). Your variable products work exactly as before — just with a better editing experience.

Do you support multiple languages?

How do updates work?

Free version updates through WordPress.org like any plugin. Pro and Unlimited users receive automatic updates directly in WordPress, plus priority access to new features. Updates are included in your subscription.

What happens when I uninstall the plugin?

First of all, you might regret it. But honestly, you can uninstall and get the original editor that made you choose this one. And you can even temporary disable WEAM in the general setting page of the plugin. Your product data stays exactly as it is. WEAM only changes how you edit attributes — it never modifies your actual product data structure, unless you specifically choose to. Uninstalling simply returns you to the standard WooCommerce attribute editor. All your products, attributes, and values remain intact.

What is Server Speed Calibration?

To avoid endless save and reload commands after changing a setting, we will auto save and reload for you. Therefore we need to know how fast your webserver is. Every now and then we ask you to re-calibrate, so that we can keep on making your life easier.

What support do I get?

Free users: community support via FAQ, WordPress forum and documentation. Pro users: chat & email support with 48-hour response time. Unlimited users: chat & priority email support with 24-hour response time. All users can submit bugs and feature requests.

Will WEAM slow down my website?

No. WEAM only loads in the WordPress admin when editing products or settings. It adds zero load to your frontend store. Your customers won't notice any difference — only you will, when editing products becomes faster and easier.

Do I need to configure each attribute?

No! WEAM works out of the box with smart defaults for all your attributes. But if you want to customize — change input types, layouts, or sorting — you can do that per attribute in WooCommerce → Easy Attributes.

Can I disable WEAM temporarely?

Yes! Go to WooCommerce → Easy Attributes → Global Settings and enable "Temporary Disable". This instantly switches all attributes back to the standard WooCommerce interface. Your WEAM settings are preserved — just disable the toggle to restore them.

I have feature request

We love hearing from users! Send your ideas to info@weam.nl with "Feature Request" in the subject. We review every suggestion and prioritize based on user demand. Many Pro features started as user requests. Can't promise everything, but we're always listening.

How do I report a bug?

Email info@weam.nl with "Bug Report" in the subject. Include your WordPress version, WooCommerce version, WEAM version, and steps to reproduce the issue. Screenshots help! We take bugs seriously and typically respond within 48 hours.

What makes WEAM different from the standard WooCommerce editor?

WooCommerce's default attribute editor is functional but clunky — tiny checkboxes, no search, easy to accidentally delete values. WEAM replaces this with clean dropdowns, radio buttons, or multi-select checkboxes. Plus Quick Add to insert attributes instantly, and built-in protection so you never lose data.

Can I switch input types after I've added products?

Absolutely. Changing from dropdown to radio buttons (or any other type) only affects how YOU select values — your actual product data stays the same. Switch anytime in WooCommerce → Easy Attributes. Changes apply immediately to all products.

Does WEAM work with WPML or Polylang?

Yes. WEAM is compatible with popular multilingual plugins. It works with your translated attributes just like the standard WooCommerce editor does. The admin interface is also translation-ready for your team.

I accidentally deleted an attribute value. Can WEAM help?

WEAM prevents this from happening in the first place! Our built-in delete protection uses hidden placeholder values to ensure WooCommerce never removes your attribute fields. Prevention is better than recovery.

How does Quick Add work?

On any product edit page, you'll see a "Quick Add Attribute" dropdown above your attributes. Select an attribute, click "Add to Product" — done. No more navigating to the Attributes tab, clicking "Add", selecting from a list, and saving. One click instead of five.

Does WEAM affect my product import/export?

No. WEAM only changes the editing interface. Standard WooCommerce imports, exports, and REST API functions work exactly as before. Your CSV imports, third-party sync tools, and inventory management systems are unaffected.

Can I use WEAM with other WooCommerce plugins?

Yes. WEAM plays nicely with other plugins because it only modifies the attribute editing experience. Product bundles, subscriptions, bookings, vendors — all continue to work normally. If you find a conflict, contact us and we'll investigate.

Can I Add multiple new values in one go?

Sure, WEAM makes this easy. You can enter multiple new values in one sequence and have them available in no time.

Attribute Management

WEAM makes Attribute Management as easy as possible.
Depending on your experience some features can be new for you.
Or even new for WooCommerce since we do things they don't.

Can I add extra text to the backend, for an attribute, eg as a reminder?

Sure, under Global settings, you can toggle 'Show Help Text'.
This gives you the option to add internal explanatory text. Like 'Do not add extra colours, since it impacts the variants as well' or 'only add sizes that are described in our size table'. Any text can be added and be different for each individual attribute!

I have a product with a huge number of attributes

That's no problem. You can force a dropdown above x values, to avoid a long list of values. And depending on the view, you can set a value per attribute above which you automatically get a search bar. Then just type a few letters and you will see the values matching it. No scrolling, quick and easy.

How do I know if it is safe to delete a value?

For each attribute you can see the values and how often they are used. If it is zero, then it is save to delete. Unless it is part of a variant, in that case you need to think it over.

For some attributes I want a horizontal list of values

That is a smart choice and we offer that as well. For every attribute you can decide if values in the Backend are shown horizontal or vertical.

What happens if a field has no value?

That up to you. You can decide and set it per attribute:
a. hide the attribute
b. show a minus sign
c. show an empty field
