What can I find at WayneCounty.events?
Our events calendar website has event information that you can search and sort by community, category, audience, organizational host, venue, cost and more. From our home page, you can narrow down the kinds of events you're interested in and bookmark or share the link to come back to that updated list again and again. (Coming soon, we'll also have a way for you to get notifications about upcoming events!)
We've created some shortcuts for you, where you can quickly access event collections like "family fun" or "get involved" so you can get a taste of all the options available.
You can also just browse events by date, scrolling through the numerous things going on in Wayne County and its cities and towns.
Our team occasionally picks some events to feature at the top of the site, highlighting some items across the community you won't want to miss.
For each event you find, you can click on the event name to get in to the details. We try to show you as much information as we can find about an event, including the date and time, the location, who is organizing or hosting the event, any cost and registration details, and where you can learn more. We'll even show you a map of where to go when the event starts so you don't have to wander.
Where does the event information come from?
Our team reviews events that are submitted to us by organizations and community members, and adds items to the calendar when they are a good fit, including being open to the public, free or reasonably accessible to all, of general interest to the community, and offering experiences or information that are fun, educational, connective and positive. You can learn more about how to submit an event for inclusion on the WayneCounty.events calendar.
Many of our event listings are pulled directly from the local organizations hosting these events, published on their websites, social media pages and elsewhere. Some of our events are found automatically. Our specialized software scans over 70 different sites every day looking for new event information.
Because of the way that software works there may be some incomplete event information now and then, but this isn't some AI-powered mess that doesn't know the difference between Richmond, Indiana and Richmond, Virginia. It's a carefully crafted mix of trusted sources that our editorial team has put together for the benefit of Wayne County residents, and we have real humans improving and contributing to the information every day.
Can I pay to have my event included or featured?
No, we do not accept sponsored event submissions or featuring. If you'd like to support our work financially, please consider purchasing a Western Wayne News subscription or contacting us about other advertising opportunities.
Can you send me email about upcoming events?
Yes! If you subscribe to our WayneCounty.info daily newsletter , we'll send you a daily preview of upcoming events and a link to this website so you can explore more. It's free and you can unsubscribe any time.
How can I get a list of events to put on my website/digital sign/etc.?
We are working on providing ways for other community organizations to display upcoming events powered by our calendar. If you are interested in the possibility of a WordPress plugin, API access, ICS feed or similar, please contact us so we can understand your needs as we develop these options.
Who should I contact with questions?
