WarpShare

WarpShare is an open-source app that allows you to enjoy AirDrop on Android. With the app, you can send files to nearby Mac devices without using the Internet. Thanks to this app, you can synchronize files in real-time with your Mac and access them as if you had an iPhone or an iPad.

Send files from Android to Mac, but not the other way around

WarpShare uses the AWDL (Apple Wireless Direct Link) protocol, which is the same technology used in AirDrop. This protocol stems from the Open Wireless Link (OWL) project and uses the Wi-Fi Direct standard for file transfer. As a result, high transfer speeds are achieved between devices. The maximum file size you can send with WarpShare is about 4.2GB due to the limitations of the CPIO format.

To use WarpShare, you must first grant it the appropriate permissions, such as access to files or contacts on your Android device. Then, you must enable the visibility option of your device so that it can be detected by your Mac. Once you have done this, you will see your device in the list of available devices in WarpShare, and you can select the files you want to send wirelessly to your macOS computer, whether a laptop or desktop. Just confirm the transfer on your Mac, and you're done.

WarpShare has some limitations that you should be aware of: you can only send files from Android to Mac and not the other way around. In addition, it may not work well on some device models. Beyond that, you can download the APK from WarpShare to enjoy AirDrop on your Android.
