Eligibility
WallyHacks is for students enrolled in the University of Toronto. Students from any one of the three UofT campuses are welcome. It is not permitted to stay overnight on campus.
Project and Submission Requirements
1. Project Submission (Devpost)Participants must submit their project through the event’s official platform, Devpost. This will act as the primary repository for their final work.
2. Video Submission Teams will need to submit a project video.-
Length: 3 minutes max.

Content:
- Introduction: A brief introduction to the project, including the problem being solved and the urban challenge it addresses.
- Team Members: Introduce the team members and their roles in the project.

Solution: Brief overview of the solution you came up with

Impact: Describe how the project contributes to making cities more sustainable, prosperous, inclusive, and/or just.
A write-up is required as part of the project submission.

Problem Statement: What urban issue is being addressed? Why is it important?

Solution: Describe the solution in detail—how the project works and how it addresses the problem.

Technical Details: Explain the key technologies used (e.g., Arduino, ESP32, sensors) and how they were integrated into the project.

Impact: Discuss how the project can contribute to a more sustainable, inclusive, or accessible urban environment.

Next Steps/Future Work: If applicable, suggest future improvements or extensions to the project.
Teams must submit their code.

Platform: Teams will submit their code via GitHub.

The link to the team’s repo must be included in the DevPost submission before the deadline. Any changes made to the repo after the deadline may result in a disqualification.
Optional: Teams may also submit any additional documentation such as:

Circuit diagrams, sketches, or technical schematics.

Photos of the prototyping process or building materials.

Any additional details about how the project was developed.
IMPORTANT: please stay up to date with discord announcements so that you can present it to the judges online on zoom with all the necessary information needed to do so.
