Volleyball is one of the widely played, popular team sports across the globe. Originally, the indoor sport was invented in the New England region of America and it took the characteristics from the parent games tennis, handball and basketball that were in their evolution phases at that time. The game is played between the two teams with six players in each team, with six special skills. The rules of the game underwent refinements over the period and the game got popularity in various other nations. Many variations of the basic rules of the volleyball exist, the most popular being the “Beach Volleyball” which is played on sand. Like all the other major sports, Volleyball has its jargon of unique terms and phrases. For those just introducing themselves to the sport of volleyball, this application will take them through the basics of the game.The application will help them in understanding all the terms used in the world of volleyball including scoring system, skills, slang terms, strategies and techniques.
