VMware-WebClient is a browser-based management interface for VMware vSphere environments. Developed by VMware, Inc., it connects to vCenter Server to centralize the administration of ESXi hosts, virtual machines, clusters, storage, and networking. With the Web Client, administrators can deploy and configure VMs and templates, manage resource pools, monitor performance, review tasks and events, apply role-based access control, and use core vSphere features such as vMotion, High Availability (HA), and Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS).

Earlier versions of the Web Client relied on Adobe Flash (vSphere 5.x and 6.x) and have since been deprecated in favor of the HTML5-based vSphere Client, which is the recommended interface in current releases. Organizations still using VMware-WebClient should plan to migrate to the HTML5 client to ensure compatibility, security, and ongoing support.

Designed for enterprise datacenters, VMware-WebClient provides a centralized, consistent view of virtual infrastructure from a supported web browser, streamlining day-to-day operations and troubleshooting.
