The Viviana Cloud device pairs with the Viviana Cloud app so that you can manage your recordings, listen to the recorded tracks, check metadata, share recordings and create sound reports directly on your smartphone. This was made possible by a new VPN-based network topology that re-routes local traffic, quickly and securely, through a cloud-based gateway. We added a new “Selection Wizard” that allows you to select all WAV files recorded on a given day, without having to traverse the directory hierarchy and pick files one by one. 1.9 10/11/2023 Improved error handling when renaming files and directories on local storage. We now show a warning when attempting to change file extensions. Files in local directory listings are now sorted in a case-insensitive manner. 1.8.1 06/06/2023 We added the ability to operate on local storage by creating new directories, and renaming and deleting files and directories (volumes connected to the Viviana cloud box need to be in a writable format, such as FAT32). Also, as a harbinger of new exciting features coming soon, we broke the 64-bit barrier for .wav files! We now support .wav files using RF64 containers, which means you can now play and inspect the metadata of audio files larger than 4 GB. 1.8 05/24/2023 Minor bug fixes. 1.7.1 04/18/2023 We added the ability to copy files between drives attached to the Viviana box: you can select any number of files from a source volume and copy them to a designated directory on a target volume. Files in the proprietary Mobile Audio Recording Format (MARF) by Zaxcom are automatically converted to the .wav format during copy. 1.7 04/11/2023 Improved diagnostic report. 1.6.2 12/23/2022 Addressed an issue that could cause a crash when attempting to play certain audio files with inconsistent BWF metadata. 1.6.1 11/12/2022 Added support for .zax proprietary audio files generated by Zaxcom devices. 1.6 10/03/2022 Improvements in the box discovery process. 1.5.1 08/04/2022 • Local playback! You can now play back audio files directly from the SSD card connected to your Viviana Cloud box. No need to upload them to the cloud first. • Destination folders! You can now designate a folder in your cloud account as a destination folder. The Viviana Cloud box will then upload local files to this folder. You can also create new destination folders directly from the app. Destination folders are marked distinctively in folder listings, so you can tell at a glance where your files are being uploaded. • Searches! You can now look up files by name in your cloud account. A search field is now present in every folder listing screen, allowing you to search files in the whole directory subtree rooted in the corresponding folder. • Empty folders are now clearly indicated as such, and progress indicators have been added in a few places to show that stuff is being loaded from the network. • The user interface for the box Wi-Fi settings is now more intuitive, and no longer requires extensive knowledge of ISO-3166 country codes. ;-) • Minor UI fixes and improvements. 1.5 07/01/2022 We can finally unveil a feature that we've been working hard on for the past few months: Frame.io Camera to Cloud (C2C) integration. Frame.io (an Adobe company) is a leading cloud-based video collaboration platform used by thousands of industry professionals all over the world. Viviana Cloud now taps into Frame.io's C2C API to upload your audio files to the cloud safely and at lightning speed. Once you log into Frame.io from Viviana Cloud, you can list of all your C2C-enabled accounts and projects, and select the project where you want your files uploaded to. 1.4 04/21/2022 We now support Google Drive (in addition to Dropbox) as a cloud storage provider. This means you can instruct the Viviana Cloud box to upload your audio files to your Google Drive account, at lightning speed. A new Account screen allows you to see the cloud account (Dropbox or Google Drive) you are logged into, and how much disk space is available. When exporting individual audio tracks to .wav files, you can now choose the bit depth: 16 bit if you want to save space, or 24 bit if you want to retain the full dynamic range of the original audio recording. If you have a promotional code for the PRO version, you can now redeem it directly from the paywall displayed in the app. The Wi-Fi icon in the "Box Wi-Fi" section now shows the signal strength as perceived by your Viviana Cloud box. If you see less than full bars, try moving the box closer to the Wi-Fi router. We improved the algorithm for polling the box status so that the app is more responsive to status changes, and will register less sporadic disconnections. We improved the wording of push notifications sent by the box when a batch of uploads is complete, so that it accurately summarizes how many uploads were successful, how many failed, and how many were canceled. We also made a ton of smaller improvements and fixes to make the app more robust and the user experience more consistent, and we laid the groundwork for even more exciting enhancements that are coming soon.
