Our commitment

Vilavi is a nonprofit organization committed since September 7, 1989 with underprivileged people offering inpatient prevention and treatment addiction programs and social housing with community support. The objective of the organization is to help people regain their independence. Vilavi provides services to adult men and women struggling with drug problems, alcohol and homeless or people at risk of homelessness or living in residential instability.
The goal of our organisation is to help people regain their autonomy.
Vilavi offers its services to adult men and women facing issues related to alcohol, drug and medication addiction, as well as homeless persons, whether they are at risk of homelessness or are currently in an unstable residential situation, finding difficulty navigating the housing market. The organisation also seeks to support youth living with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or another intellectual disability with severe behavioural issues.
Vilavi's addiction treatment center is certified by the Lanaudière Health and Social Services Center.

(1) Note: According to Vilavi, social progress refers to a notion of "social development that is both just and inclusive, targeting global welfare of persons and their communities", without however, defining a narrow application which would be inconsistent with the incredibly nuanced nature of individual persons and the communities. According to Wikipedia, there exists an indisputable link between the improvement of living conditions and the changes in social organisation, which suggests that an organisation like Vilavi could take concrete action to generate social progress (Wikipédia 2021, "Social progress is the effort to improve living conditions through a change in social organisation").
**The overall impact of Vilavi activities is measured in the number of nights offered in all the projects, including housing, treatment and shelter modalities.
