Welcome…

Hi there! I’m a wife, mother, award-winning journalist, and multi-genre author. I grew up in the small town of Nigel, sunny South Africa, and now call Johannesburg, the City of Gold, home with my family. While I don’t have any pets yet (and I’m still searching for that weird and wonderful hobby), I absolutely love writing about people—both real ones and those I’ve imagined. Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you enjoy exploring my world through words.

  • What’s your book-reading goal in 2026?

Yikes—we’re already into the second month of the year. That feels like the right moment to get honest (and a little brave) about how many books I really hope to read in 2026.

Last year, I set a goal of 52 books—one a week. Not wildly ambitious, I know, but I was also deep in writing mode, working on several books as part of two multi-author series. The result? Let’s just say I didn’t quite make it. I fell about 13 books short. But… I did write six books, so I’m calling that a perfectly reasonable excuse. 😉

This year, I’m grateful for a fresh start and I’m setting my goal at 52 again. Aim low, finish high—that’s my strategy, and I’m sticking to it. 📚✨

My reading taste is pretty eclectic, and I’m always happy to follow my mood. That said, I usually gravitate toward sweet and wholesome romance, women’s fiction, and Christian nonfiction.

One thing I love doing is supporting fellow indie authors, so throughout the year I’ll be sharing weekly reading suggestions—sometimes from group promos, sometimes spotlighting individual authors.

Now I’d love to hear from you. What’s your reading goal this year? And do you have any book recommendations you think I’d enjoy? Drop them in the comments—I’m always looking to grow my TBR pile.
