Welcome to VGM CON, Minnesota’s premier celebration of video game music, indie games, and the community that brings them to life. We’re more than just a weekend event — we’re a high-score pursuit of creativity. From live orchestral performances and late-night jam sessions to tournaments and indie dev showcases, we create the kind of “you had to be there” moments you can’t find behind a screen.
A program of Gamer’s Rhapsody (a 501c3 non-profit), VGM CON is built by the community, for the community. Our volunteer team is dedicated to fostering an inclusive space where fans and creators from all walks of life can connect, collaborate, and be themselves. Whether you’re here to sharpen your skills in a workshop or find your next creative partner, you belong here.
Your attendance does more than just power up your weekend — it fuels the future of game music and the community at large.
As a primary fundraiser for Gamer’s Rhapsody, VGM CON enables us to launch and sustain vital initiatives like the Twin Cities Gamer Symphony Orchestra (TCGSO), the Game Music Remix Awards (GMRAs), and other creative programs throughout the Twin Cities and beyond. Furthermore, we believe in paying it forward. Each year, we partner with a vetted charity that aligns with our values of advocacy and support. This year, we are proud to fundraise for PFund, an organization dedicated to building equity and investing in the LGBTQ+ community across the Upper Midwest.
