Maryland’s leader in offshore wind development
providing good jobs and clean, renewable energy

“This is a proud moment for US Wind,” said Jeff Grybowski, US Wind CEO. “After more than four years of rigorous and robust analysis, we are thrilled to have secured this final BOEM approval. US Wind’s projects will produce massive amounts of homegrown energy and will help satisfy the region’s critical need for more electricity, all while supporting good local jobs. America can achieve energy abundance and put many Americans to work building the power plants of the future.”
DNREC approvals allow Company to deliver clean energy to the region
The Maryland Public Service Commission has approved US Wind’s rebid application to support the buildout of its projects off the Maryland coast.
“With this new award, we will deliver the largest ever renewable energy project to the state of Maryland at a price below the statutory ratepayer protection caps. The energy we will produce off Maryland’s shores will help to meet the region’s unquenchable thirst for new electricity, power more than 600,000 homes, and support good American jobs. We’re grateful for the Public Service Commission’s continued confidence in our ability to provide affordable energy and local jobs to the region.”
Video Simulation of MarWin & Momentum Wind Projects
This timelapse video shows a simulation of the MarWin and Momentum Wind projects from 84th Street in Ocean City, Maryland over the course of a typical July beach day. A May 2023 study by Capital Airspace Group shows that US Wind’s Aircraft Detection Lighting System will keep the lights off and the sky clear 99% of the time throughout the year.
