Well, what did you learn?

Thunderstorms are chasing me, but I am too fast to get caught.

Who knew that just driving two hours from home could be like going to a whole other world? Hmmm.
Very nice weekend in Charlotte with the boys. They made me excellent stir-fry and served me drinks (and made me watch HGTV, but whatever... I survived. I am not that kind of lesbian, so sue me). However, once Justin crashed out on the couch, Travis and I watched Most Haunted - because we both treat it like a sitcom.

Because it is one.

And don't look at me like that. I believe in ghosts.

Just not on that show.

Woke up too early Saturday morning.
So, as they continued to sleep, I popped on my old-school cd player (with headphones) and danced around their living room. And their kitchen. Repeatedly.
Checked out the farmer's market. Went to some girl's (Sarah, sister of Super-Hot Heather) luncheon to celebrate her graduation. I drank Crown & Ginger on an empty stomach.

NOT ADVISABLE.

Still, good food was eventually eaten around 1:30 pm. Strange never-ending conversation from a supposedly gay uncle about hiking. Then the boys and I wandered to the mall, because I needed another pair of jeans. Thank you, Banana Republic.
Onward to Cabo Fish Taco (for real, that is the name...), which is located in the only 'artsy' area of all of Charlotte. Lesbians were swarming that side of town like bees to a bloom - nice to watch them all walk by as we ate & drank on the outdoor patio.
Very cute waitress, too.

Justin caved and we all watched the original Nightmare On Elm Street.
Oh - and a sidenote - that fucking remake sucked ass. No drunk mother???? WTF?!
Anyway.
Then we moved on to really scary shit and watched Food, Inc. I had seen it before, but a re-watch didn't hurt. And it tugged the boys to an organic way of life.
Very cool.
Breakfast at the Barrel Of Crackers (hehehe).
And then I drove all the way home again.

These weekends are way too short.

Recs! Get ya recs here! Hot-n-fresh!

Jennifer's Body - Vinco is seriously good and on-point. I love some decent Jennifer/Needy fanfiction - whether it is all sexed-up or not. And this is so damn subtle.... I really suck at the description of this awesome-ness, so just go read it.

Xena Warrior Princess - Stories, Night Thoughts is by the same author as the above rec! Cool, right? Early Xena/Gabrielle connections, sweet without being saccharine and again with the subtle. Brilliant.

Skins - Baby Girl, I'm A Blur seems so silly, in a way - and it is, in a way - but also so wonderfully blunt and gorgeous and sexy as fuck. Plus, a happy Naomi/Emily. And even more so, random Keffy! Oh yea. It's that awesome.

Gah, I don't want to work tomorrow.
And I seriously need to write some, but my brain just doesn't want to work.

Although, for some reason, hearing Clair De Lune makes me want to write on You've Got To Hide Your Love Away. It's hitting my 'Ashley Davies-is-in-love' button.
Odd, but true.

Oh, Ashley. When you were good, you were freakin' great. Look at you, all smitten.
