Recs. Links. Thiiiiiingsssssss.

It is always best in my life to not speak too soon about if I will be doing something, especially with the weather being the crazy mofo that it has been... but I am cautiously optimistic and so take this with a grain of salt:

MIDNIGHT TO 4 A.M. @ WNCW 88.7 ON MARCH 12th = ME, ON THE RADIO!

Or, you know, for most of you... wncw.org, live streaming awesomesauce. ;D

And on the topic of speaking too soon..... There is the great possibility of me (and maybe a friend of mine) seeing Kaki King at the end of April @ The Cat's Cradle.

Another cautious 'OMG WOO HOO!'

The sun is out. Probably going to go out and kick around, maybe take some pictures. Go print some stuff at my father's. Might go bother fangirl_bubba at her job.

But let's get all fandom-y first.

Too cool for school Ruthless/Maven video! -- Great song, which I think is from the film itself... yes? I don't check every fact [lol]. But! Love it. Great subtext. Nice sound. Juliette Lewis is the coolest chick alive, you know...

Plus, after watching that vid, you might want to join ruthlessmaven and have all your dirty Whip It! needs fed. I know I have. ;D

So I am probably the only person on the face of the Earth that is not excited about this film and that is just because... eh, well, that's just me... but I am all for multiple versions of an original idea. An original, slightly kinky, drug-laden idea with a young girl at the center of it. Oh fuck it - these girls are only a little bit more sexual than the Lewis Carroll version, right?

Hehehe...

Going to do a SON rec post today, too. And maybe write on You've Got To Hide Your Love Away 'coz I am getting excited about the last couple of chapters... Yea, I am jumping ahead of myself a bit. Whatever. :D

Been playing this on repeat since yesterday. Makes me feel joyful and I want to hit the gay clubs again - been a while since I've been dancing. The super-straight 80's club in Charlotte does not count, 'coz we didn't dance... we just watched some poor drunk girl stumble around on a balcony. The three of us did sing along to Whitney Houston... but that is more gay for the boys than for me.

Yep. Make this Sunday count.
