USB Examples by CCS is a collection of ready-to-build sample projects that demonstrate how to implement USB device functionality on Microchip PIC microcontrollers using the CCS C Compiler and libraries. Each example includes well-commented source code, USB descriptors, and CCS IDE project files that illustrate enumeration, endpoints, control transfers, and data streaming across common classes such as HID and CDC (virtual COM port), as well as custom/bulk transfers. The projects are designed to be clear, compact, and practical, so you can adapt them quickly as templates for your own designs or classroom labs.

Intended for embedded developers and educators, this package helps shorten bring-up time, clarify USB concepts, and provide proven reference code. A CCS compiler/IDE, a supported PIC MCU with a USB peripheral, and appropriate development hardware are required to build and run the examples.

USB Examples is developed by CCS. The most popular version of this product among our users is 1.0. The name of the program executable file is explorer.exe.
