To break the cycle of child abuse by empowering children, families, and communities.
Guided by faith, education, and action, communities will be free of child abuse.
For more than 150 years, the Texas-based nonprofit Upbring has been dedicated to breaking the cycle of child abuse and advancing child wellbeing. Serving more than 10,000 children annually across more than 100 locations, Upbring provides foster care, adoption, education, residential treatment, supervised independent living and community programs.
In 2018, the organization launched the sector’s first Innovation Lab, which led to the development of Child Wellbeing Zones in 2025. Guided by its child-centered approach and Child Wellbeing Trifecta — child, family and community — Upbring uses data, collaboration and prevention-driven solutions to strengthen families and build thriving communities across Texas.
