On this page, I will try to explain who we are, why we made the choices we made and how it all began. Let me answer these questions in reverse order.
Unividuals is a network organisation of independently operating software developers.
Our unique organisational model enables us to bring together an extensive pool of Uniface professionals, each as an independent entrepreneur. This collective not only works together to better serve our clients, but also supports each other in providing their individual services. This structure creates a dynamic, flexible and innovative environment that benefits both our team and our clients.
What’s more, our collaboration goes beyond our own network. We work hand in hand with partners all over the world, enabling us to bring together experts from different disciplines. This broad expertise means that our services are not limited to Uniface alone, enabling us to offer more comprehensive solutions and better serve our customers.

The basis for Unividuals was laid in 2003 by Peter Lammersma. This is what he has to say about it:
After studying Technical Informatics and Business Administration, I came into contact with Uniface in 1996. And I was immediately sold. Despite my experiences with other development environments, I was very impressed. I decided that I would work with Uniface for a very long time.
Since then I have made a few ‘forays’ into other things. For example, I worked for a large consultancy firm for a few months that answered every question with ‘implement SAP’. I rented out offices, had my own espresso bar and my own coffee label. Uniface kept coming back. I even made an offer to buy Uniface, but unfortunately Rocket won me over. Yes, for someone with an ADHD brain, none of that is particularly special.
Anyway, back to the UnividualS story. In 2001, I decided to become an independent entrepreneur. A decision I have never regretted, even if it was a bit lonely at times. Since 2001 I have worked on many projects, mostly Uniface related.
In 2003, I was hired by an organisation where I joint a small team that maintained a Uniface application. The core of that team consisted of two other independent entrepreneurs whom I knew from previous projects. The client wanted to hire us directly, but could not do business with freelancers. I said, a little cheekily, that together we had a larger company. The same day we founded our organization. That was the very beginning of what would later become UnividualS.
UnividualS grew into an organisation of and by independent entrepreneurs specialized in more than just Uniface. In 2010, we were a group of over 60 professionals in database management, software testing, project management and Uniface. In 2025, only the Uniface branch remained.
UnividualS is a network of independent professionals. What connects us, in that we are all entrepreneurs, is our choice for Uniface. I can say that every member of our organisation has consciously chosen to work with Uniface.
When the basis for UnividualS started in 2003, we had two very strong drivers. Namely building an organisation with a strong invitation to work together and use Uniface. But it was mainly a reason that I have not yet mentioned. As an independent entrepreneur, I felt quite alone. As an employee, you always have colleagues with whom you share something. As a self-employed person, I missed that enormously. By building this joint organisation, I gave myself what I needed: colleagues. And it turned out that they were looking for the same thing. That client was merely a catalyst.
The fact that we consciously chose Uniface and because we have a powerful partnership, we can formulate a beautiful mission:
