I ordered the simultaneous RFID from SparkFun, which instructs users to use the Universal Reader Assistant software with this device. The instructions on the website say to connect to the NA2 region, since we are in North America, however this is not an option when connecting the reader. Does this mean I should connect to the "OPEN" option instead?

I've installed the application, but it's impossible to configure it since I am lacking the device that is working with the program. The software, although it can be started afterwards, doesn't give you the option to select regions.

You should go ahead and connect to another region if you want because nothing will happen. The software will continue to work properly.
