Uninstall WinGX is the official removal utility for the WinGX crystallographic software suite developed by Louis J. Farrugia at the University of Glasgow. It is designed to cleanly remove WinGX from a Windows system, helping prepare a machine for an upgrade, reinstall, or decommissioning.
The utility typically removes program files, Start menu entries, desktop shortcuts, and installer-created registry information. By default, user project data is not deleted; you may be offered the option to remove local configuration files stored in your user profile. Administrative privileges are recommended. Before running the uninstaller, close WinGX and any companion tools launched from it.
You can start the uninstaller from Windows Settings > Apps, from the WinGX folder in the Start menu, or by running the uninstaller executable located in the WinGX installation directory.
