Understanding non-verbal language is an important part of emotional and social communication. Children on the Autism Spectrum typically have problems in reading non-verbal communication, but many other children may need help with this important skill as well. This fun card game was designed by Lawrence Shapiro, Ph.D., one of the country’s leading experts on helping children through play. The two card “decks” give children practice on interpreting the emotional meaning of other people’s body language and helps them be aware of how their own gestures, postures, and facial expressions “speak” to others. The decks can also be combined for more varied play. For kids ages 5-12. This game will be most helpful when played with an adult and two or more children.
