Being an ex-ID, Uncle knows when fixes done / recommended by BSC / contractors / IDs are acceptable or just temporary. We make sure you dont get cheated.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) About Defect Inspection
How many pax do you send down for the defect checking?
We send down a minimum of 3 staff, in the event we have multiple units in your block / estate, we may send up to 3-5 staff as reinforcement to make sure we do not miss out any defects :)
Some other defect checking services out there only offer 1 defect inspector, do take note!
How do you label the defects checked?
We use a felt tip marker to write on the blue painters tape used to mark the defects that are more serious.
Some common markings that are used are as follows:
S = scratch
O = stain
UN = uneven
Ho = hollow tiles
C = chip
D = dent
Sili = silicon
SC = soft closing
For more serious defects such as mechanical issues (cannot close, got sound, difficult open), or rust, silicon and other issues, we write out the defect identified in full on the sticker :)
How long does the defect check take?
With 2 pax we usually take about 45 min to 1 hour for the defect checking, and about 15 minutes at the end to run through with you the defects identified.
Can you fill up our defects form for us?
Yes, we will fill up the defects form instead of the photo report so you can drop off the defects form immediately upon completion of the defects inspection session.
Can you submit the NOVADE app for us?
Yes, if your condo uses NOVADE, we will fill up NOVADE app instead of the photo report so you can submit immediately upon completion of the defects inspection session.
Do I need to activate the electricity and water before you check?
It is advisable to turn on the water and electricity before we come so we can check the power and water flow (for gradient and leakge) during the inspection.
If you are unable to get these before the inspection, we will use the spirit level to test water gradient for you.
I don’t know how to turn on the water supply after activation
We can help you to turn the water supply on after activation
We have screwdriver with us so you don’t need to bring :)
For BTO owners, please collect the 2 copper tap heads from letter box before inspection.
