Terms and Conditions – Using Payonline to make payments

Payonline is an online payment portal, provided by UK Search Limited, where you can make payments in a safe and secure environment by debit or credit card. In order to use Pay-online to make a payment, you must be an individual that can enter into a legally binding contract under the laws of England. You may not make a payment and may not accept the Terms and Conditions if you are under the age of 18 or are not authorised to enter into such a contract.
The payment facilities and service are offered by UK Search Limited. UK Search Limited’s registered office is at 4 Gander Lane, Barlborough, Chesterfield, S43 4PZ registered in England, company registration number 05321310. UK Search Limited are engaged in debt collecting and other services within the credit industry and operate within the UK. UK Search Limited use payment portal facilities called Acquired (company number: 09660317) and Opayo by Elevon (company number: BR022122). Acquired (Imagination Building, 25 Store Street, London, W1CE 7BL) and Opayo by Elavon is a product provided by Elavon Financial Services DAC (UK Branch), trading as ‘Opayo’, registered office, 125 Old Broad Street, London, EC2N 1AR. Acquired and Opayo conforms fully to the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS). Acquired and Opayo has the highest level (Level 1) of PCI DSS certification.

In making a payment through Pay-online, you accept these Terms and Conditions which form a legally binding contract between you and UK Search Limited.

What happens when you make a payment?

When you make payment, Acquired or Acquired and Opayo will indicate if your transaction is successful or unsuccessful. If your transaction is successful, you will be provided with a screen that advises you of this along with a transaction confirmation number. You should take a note of this or print this out for your records. If your payment is successful, your payment will normally reach UK Search Limited’s bank account within 2 working days. However, Acquired and Opayo will notify us immediately once your payment has been made by email confirmation and UK Search Limited will update its debt collection system, normally within 1 working day of being notified of the cleared payment. UK Search Limited cannot be held responsible for any delayed payments or notifications. Your bank account statement will indicate a payment to ‘UK Search Limited’ for the specified amount on the account that you made payment from. In some circumstances, we may use a merchant facility whereby the payment transaction will show the name of the originating creditor on your bank statement.
Please note – UK Search Limited do not charge a transaction fee for payments made online.
If your transaction is unsuccessful, Acquired and Opayo will notify you of this online. Acquired and Opayo will not be able to provide you with a reason for the unsuccessful transaction. It is recommended that if you know you have the funds available in your bank account that you try making the transaction once more. If the transaction is still unsuccessful, you should contact your bank to find out the reason. It is also recommended that you contact UK Search Limited as your payment may be in connection with a payment arrangement you have made. The contact number is: 01246 573510.
When you make payment, you will be asked you to confirm or add further contact details such as your address, telephone number and your email address. When doing this, this information will be captured and entered onto our systems in case we need to contact you about your case.

Refund Policy

In the event of a payment error please call 01246 573510. We aim to resolve and refund errors within 3 working days of being informed.

Confidentiality and Data Protection

UK Search Limited use the payment portal called Acquired and Opayo by Elavon as a service provider. The agreement with this service provider requires that they protect your information and only use it to carry out the services they are performing for ourselves on your behalf.
The data you provide during online payment transactions is securely held by UK Search Limited and Acquired and Opayo under the terms of Data Protection legislation.
