Charitable Charters: Empowering Through Sailing
In partnership with The Neighbourly Charitable Trust, UKSA proudly delivers the Charitable Charter Programme, an initiative that empowers young people and adults to build life skills, grow in confidence, and discover new passions through the power of the sea. Whether it’s breaking through personal barriers, stepping beyond comfort zones, or advancing sailing abilities, these immersive experiences spark transformation and leave a lasting legacy.
For over two decades, The Neighbourly Charitable Trust has been a champion of UKSA’s mission. In 2025, their continued support has once again unlocked life-changing opportunities for those who need them most, providing an inspiring opportunity for growth.
A cornerstone of this partnership is the Trust’s remarkable donation of a fully equipped sailing vessel, Nonna Olive, named after the Trust’s Founder, Olive. She is available at no cost for use by charities and individuals facing disadvantage or with disabilities in Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and Hertfordshire.
This generous gift makes it possible for deserving participants to experience the joy, challenge, and personal growth that an adventure on the water can offer.

“It was my first time to sail and I did not know what to expect. It was a fantastic experience, made better in the company of wonderful people. Everyone was very welcoming and helpful!
