We are an award-winning global non-profit, established in 2009 in Bridgetown, Cape Town. We have expanded our model and work to 24 countries across 5 continents, impacting more than 65 Million people so far. Our main aim is to create spaces in which people can be impacted, empowered, and transformed through HOPE, technology & innovation, training, and economic opportunities.
RLabs Uganda is a hub of social innovation in Kampala, that facilitates access to training programmes that equip individuals in underserved communities across the country to acquire digital skills. Our goal is not only to equip individuals but to also foster fruitful collaboration and innovation within their communities.
RLabsU, our “Academy in a box,” is a community-based learning franchise where people are equipped with training materials, skills, and management systems to operate their own academy. This low-cost programme has been deployed across 25 communities, annually equipping 5000+ members.
RLabs, together with UNICEF and Generation Unlimited, are supporting the Study Access Alliance (SAA), a scholarship initiative for financially disadvantaged African students. Recipients are able to obtain a globally recognised bachelor’s degree from Germany’s International University (IU).
Trust. Transformation. Hope. In this small classroom, refugees don’t just learn English, they rediscover their voice, their confidence, and their dignity. Here, healing becomes communal and HOPE becomes contagious. It is more than a class. It is a movement of restoration.
