What Should I Pack for Glamping at Udoscape?
Not sure what to pack? We get it—glamping is a new experience for many people, and it’s often confused with camping. When you stay at Udoscape, you can expect all the comforts of a luxury hotel with an outdoor flair. Sleep like you’re outside, under the stars, but relax in a comfy climate-controlled environment and an even more comfortable bed.

Other general amenities at the resort includes a swimming pool (Hours: 7 am - 10 pm daily), A sit-around wooden fire pit, two charcoal grill sites, an EV-Charger, and a Massage Pod.

Each of our Deluxe Pods can accommodate up to 3 guests, Deluxe-Plus Pods up to 4 guests, Ultra-Lux Pods and Crown-Lux/Honeymoon Pod up to 5 guests.
Note that violation of our required number of guests per pod will generate additional fees, and can be grounds for termination of stay. Thank you for understanding.

**Requires a minimum stay of 2 nights.
We require a Security/Damage deposits hold be authorized on guest(s) preferred debit/credit card prior to guest's arrival. This hold is released 2-3 days after stay, assuming no damages or extra costs are generated during stay. Amount is $150! Please allow up to 5 business days for hold to be released, depending on your bank's processing times as it can vary.
Note: We operate a contactless check-in, therefore please follow the steps sent you at booking to receive your check-in codes and instructions to ensure a seamless process. Guests must also review, agree to and sign our "Reservation Confirmation" doc, and and our "Pet Policy Waiver" (for guest coming with their pet(s)) which is automatically sent after reservation. After these are completed check-in instructions will be sent.
Yes, we love our furry friends! Please review our policy below.
Pet policy:
- Only Dogs are allowed
- Each dog must be no more than 35 lb
- No more than 2 dogs allowed per reservation per pod
- Must be on leach and with owner at all times, no exceptions!
- Repetitive barking, reported disturbance , or unsocialized dogs are not allowed.
- No dogs are allowed in the swimming pool area or in any of our hot-tubs.
- Waste must be picked up by owner, and disposed appropriately in provided pet stations.
- Excessive pet hair, requiring excessive cleaning, will generate an extra cleaning fee of $100.
- Pet fee is $100 for first dog, and $50 for second dog.
Please, note that violation of any of the above policy will constitute grounds for discontinuation of stay without refund, or removal of pet(s), and might result in none refund of security deposit as determined by management.
Our standard check-in time is 4:00 PM, and check-out is 11:00 AM. We operate a fully contactless process for both.
Early Check-In & Late Check-Out Options
Early Check-In: $45 at 2:00 PM | $35 at 3:00 PM
Late Check-Out: $40 at 12:00 PM
These options are subject to availability and approval, and must be requested in advance. Please note that an early check-in may not be available if a same-day late check-out has been approved, and vice versa.
Important: Once accepted, fees are non-refundable, including in cases of non-use.
We have made provisions at our Guest Center to accommodate our early arrivals who did not opt for an "early check-in." Therefore, we kindly ask all our guests arriving earlier than our 4pm check-in time not to make their way up to the Pods, but relax at our guest lounge located in the Guest Center (building at resort's entrance) to allow our housekeepers sufficient time in preparing your Pod. We have snacks and drinks available at our guest lounge, and coffee is on us!
Please note that unauthorized/non-paid for check-ins earlier than 4 pm will be considered an unauthorized "early check-in" with $60 fee deducted from your security deposit accordingly.
Unauthorized, and/or unpaid for Late check-outs later than 11 am will be considered an unauthorized late check-out, generating a $60 fee deduction from security deposit.
Please, note that we highly discourage an unapproved late-check-out as it profoundly disrupts our housekeeping schedule, and will likely interfere with an approved "early check-in", resulting in loss of your security deposit in such cases.
Yes! We are open year-round. We have air conditioning and heat as needed to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
Please note that though the pods have been thoughtfully designed and insulated, they generally may not hold heat or cold air commensurate with your typical home/structure, as they are canvas enclosed and not air-tight. We recommend you pack weather appropriate wears, especially during cold/frigid weather conditions, just in case. That said, the Pods are fully equipped with cooling/heating HVAC systems, propane heaters, and some with electric fireplaces. We also provide heated blankets.
It is our goal to make you as comfortable as possible during your glamping adventure.
- For cold weather months, bring warm suitable wears including socks, slippers, long pants, sweatshirts and warm lounging wear.
- Toiletaries - toothpast, body lotion, etc.
- Backpack, if you plan on hiking. The Balcones Canyonlands is only a few miles from Udoscape.
- Spices & Condiments - including salt, pepper, oil.
- Aluminium foil, plastic bags and any other items you may need for food preparation or storage.
- Umbrella - we do have a general designated parking area that would require walking to your Pod if raining.
- Phone charger
- Bottled water, per your preference - We are on well water which is fine for drinking or cooking.
- Cooler / ice. We do have an ice-maker in our guest center.

Rentables:
These are available in our Guest Center.
- Telescopes ($25 per stay)
- Cook-Box kit ($12 per stay) - each box contains a frying pan, 3 different size pots, a hot-plate, and a hot-plate pad
- Grill-Box ($12 per stay) - each Grill-Box has an electric George Foreman grill, grilling utensils and grill thermometer.
- Game-Box ($7) - each box has an assortment of fun board and card games to enhance your experience.
NOTE: For safety reasons, personal electric hot plates or electric grills are not permitted at the resort.
Charcoal grills are provided at our two designated grill sites.
Guests who wish to use their own charcoal (non-electric) grills may do so only at these sites.
Open flames must be attended to at all times.
We have a minimum requirement of two (2) nights for weekends (Fridays and Saturdays) and one (1) night for weekdays.
We do allow single-night stays when a day falls in-between existing weekday and weekend reservations, e.g. if a Friday is open due to a check-out occurring that Friday morning and the Saturday been already reserved. Contact us regarding those.
To enhance our guest experience, we have and continue to curate a list of items our guests can access during their stay.
RENTALS
Guests wanting any of these rentals but did not pay during reservation or prior to their arrival, can pay for them when they call to leave their refundable security deposit. They can also choose to have rental cost deducted from their security deposit after stay. Note that availability of these items are limited!
- Picking up your Rentals
Guest who have reserved any of our rentals (telescopes, cook-box, Grill-box, and/or game-box) will be given an access code to our Guest Center were they will be able to pick up their designated rental item(s).
We understand that occasionally it is necessary to change or cancel a reservation. However, understand that because we are a small business, cancellations can have a huge financial impact on us. Once a Pod is reserved, it is no longer available for reservation by other interested travelers. We ask for your understanding in respecting our cancellation, change, and refund policy.
All cancellations or reservation changes must be made in writing to info@udoscaperesorts.com
- Cancellations made 30 days or more prior to arrival date will receive a 100% refund.
- Cancellations made 15 to 30 days prior to arrival date will receive 50% refund.
- Cancellations made less than 15 days to arrival date will receive no refunds.
- We DO NOT refund for early departures, delayed arrivals, no-shows or inclement weather.
- Upsell items, including massage, experiential packages, rentals, etc, would be fully refunded on request up to 48 hours prior to arrival, after which no refunds will be issued.
Even though we do our best to treat for critters, etc, we do want guests to understand that ours are tent structures and as such are not critter-tight. That means you might still encounter critters, though rarely occurs. If this does occurs, just let us know and we will do our best to take care of it. Please note that encountering critters does not constitute grounds for cancellation or refunds, but we will endeavor to take care of it in a timely fashion.
Electrical and internet outages are extremely rare, but if they occur are often resolved within a few hours.
You will need a vehicle to get around. Uber rides are available but sometimes may not be easily available in the area depending on the time.
In general, please note that we do not cancel or refund for events outside our control, but we will do our best to ensure you are comfortable or taken care of.

We have a Level 2 EV charger on-site. It is located at the farthest end of the parking lot.
In consideration of others that may need to use the charger, we ask that guests only use this parking spot for ACTIVELY charging vehicle, and to move vehicle as soon as charging is completed.
Please note that penalties/fees ($2.00 per hour) will accrue for none-charging vehicles parked at the spot, vehicles left at the spot after charging is completed, and for vehicles parked in a manner that renders that parking space unusable.
All vehicles must park at the designated general parking area at the resort.
We allow a 30 mins parking window at the pod area only for loading/unloading/pickups, after which all vehicles must be moved to the general parking area. This is in line with our Firemarshall's compliance as those areas are for emergency and service vehicles only!
Unauthorized parking will generate a fee or possibly a tow after the allowed 30 mins loading/unloading/pickups.
For our ADA guests staying in our ADA-complaint Pod 1, please reach out to us to allow you park next to that pod. In this case, an ADA/handicap parking sign must be placed in a visible manner in vehicle at all times.
The resort is gated and rarely with security issues. The town of Lago Vista is also safe. We recommend common sense general safety precautions you would apply at any other place.
There are security cameras covering the public areas of the resort, including facing the entrance stairways leading into each pod. No! There are no cameras inside the pod, or facing your deck/hot-tub areas as we take our guests' privacy very seriously.
Call 911 for security or health emergencies.
1. Quiet hour starts from 10 pm. Lights at our hammock, grill, and fire pit area goes out then.
2. In consideration of other guests, loud music is never tolerated at the site.
3. You must declare the number of guests staying in the pod. Only the stated maximum number of guests for each class of pod will be allowed. Do not assume this can be bypassed, therefore loose your security deposit.
4. No smoking is allowed in our Pods. Please, note that violating this will be grounds for termination of stay without any refunds, and if noted post stay will be grounds for loss of security deposit.
5. The campsite is only for guests. No visitors are allowed!
6. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
7. Ensure grill and grill site(s) is cleaned after use, with flames and embers fully eliminated after use. Grill must never be left unattended during use!
8. For the privacy and safety of all guests, unauthorized drone use is strictly prohibited on resort grounds. Only approved resort staff may operate drones for official purposes, and no guest footage will be captured without consent. Thank you for respecting everyone’s privacy.
