The ACARE LevelUp program was launched in 2023 with the mission of creating a lasting educational platform for physicians.
The ACARE LevelUp program will be backed by partners who provide financial support for the program’s overall operation, with ACARE allocating the budget across various formats, activities, and management needs. Partnership opportunities are offered in tiered levels, grand, gold, silver, bronze, and contributor—each with its own set of benefits. Partners will be acknowledged across all program formats, activities, and communications within the ACARE network and its LevelUp platforms. Additionally, partners have the option to focus their contributions on specific events, ensuring a balanced and tailored program. The LevelUp Program is not limited to these formats or quantities and requests to add formats to the program are welcome.
The ACARE LevelUp program is designed to fill the void in angioedema education through a series of innovative, interactive learning formats. Physicians can engage with a variety of content, including podcasts, webinars, journal clubs, and more, all tailored to address the nuances of angioedema—from its pathogenesis and diagnosis to management and patient care strategies. By leveraging the expertise of ACARE and UCARE specialists, LevelUp offers a structured yet flexible approach to angioedema education.
The goals of ACARE LevelUp are
- Keep physicians informed on the latest advancements in angioedema treatment.
- Offer guidance on diagnostic approaches for all types of angioedema.
- Create a platform to foster collaboration among treating physicians.
- Enhance cooperation between general practitioners and specialists.
- Develop strategic, patient-cantered therapeutic plans.
- Improve the application of patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs).
- Simplify the patient journey towards better disease management.
- Encourage continued medical educational through CME certified formats.
Formats of LevelUps

ACARE Education on Demand launched it Beta version in November 2025. Physicians will have access to a variety of interactive courses and learning materials, tailored to enhance their expertise and skills. By participating in these enriching courses, attendees will not only gain invaluable insights but also have the opportunity to earn Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits, ensuring their professional development is both rewarding and recognized. Together, we can empower healthcare practitioners with the knowledge and resources needed to make a significant impact in the lives of patients affected by angioedema.

Interactive Online Masterclasses, are immersive learning experience designed to enhance expertise in angioedema. Combining lectures with dynamic interactive elements, engaging online workshops, and in-depth case discussions, it ensures a rich and collaborative educational environment. Participants will benefit from additional online materials available for download, allowing for a deeper dive into the subject matter. The program features interactive knowledge tests to assess understanding and solidify learning, culminating in a Certificate in Angioedema Management.
Spanning 4 hours and 15 minutes, this masterclass not only provides an exceptional educational experience but also CME accreditation.
The ACARE LevelUp Webinar series elevates the foundational work established in the program’s initial phase, featuring insights from some of the most esteemed physicians in the field of angioedema.
These one-hour webinars delve into a diverse array of pressing questions and topics, including but not limited to the latest guideline recommendations and updates, ground breaking insights from recent publications, and advances in our understanding of angioedema and its associated comorbidities. All Things Angioedema is the ACARE LevelUp Podcast series. The series is currently in full swing, captivating audiences with its engaging content. This format has flourished beyond expectations, and we are excited to continue this journey. The series will unfold over 12 episodes, with fresh insights delivered monthly.
Each episode of All Things Angioedema runs for approximately 15 minutes where the host connects with physicians, patient organizations, and influential figures within the angioedema community from across the globe, guiding listeners through the intricate landscape of angioedema with expert knowledge and personal stories. The ACARE LevelUp Journal Club is an online meeting of 30 minutes where junior ACARE physicians present recent publications on various forms of angioedema for subsequent discussion with participants. The Journal Club is held in 2 week increments with angioedema being in focus every 4 weeks.
There is a rotation of presenters and moderators. Due to the nature of the content of Journal Clubs, content can not be recorded and will only be live. The Journal Clubs are planned to be hosted by centers from around the globe to make them available in multiple time zones. Learn more.

After the unprecedented success of UCARE LevelUp 1.0, UCARE LevelUp 2.0 was launched in January 2023 and ended 2025.

UCARE LevelUp 1.0: The UCARE physician information and education platform and program
UCARE LevelUp was launched in 2021 with the goal of creating an enduring educational program for physicians. The aim of UCARE LevelUp is to foster an interactive, virtual, and comprehensive environment where healthcare professionals worldwide can learn, network, and share best clinical practices in chronic urticaria (CU).
UCARE LevelUp is a global program and all formats and activities will be in English. The UCARE network aims to make available, as best and as much as possible, all UCARE LevelUp formats and activities in regional and national languages. Primary target languages are Spanish, Arabic, German, Russian, and Chinese.
The goal of all LevelUp formats is to:
- Update physicians on recent developments in urticaria,
- Establish a platform for interaction among physicians who treat patients with CU
- Improve the interaction of general practitioners and specialists
- Build strategic therapeutic plans for patients
- Improve the use of patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs)
- Streamline the CU patient journey to disease control

The UCARE LevelUp and 4U Advisory Board
In addition, an Advisory Board (Adboard) is being formed, whose function will be to give their expert advice on all content, strategic, scientific, ethical, legal, and organizational questions pertaining to UCARE 4U. The Adboard will be made up of a general practitioner, pediatrician, representatives from patient organizations and sponsors and members from the Steering Committee.
