Eligibility
We welcome all UB students to participate in the hackathon. To be eligible, simply join our Discord server and consider yourself a member of UB ACM! We're excited to see your contributions and creativity during the event!
Project and Submission Requirements
All projects will be submitted through the GitHub Classroom assignment provided upon registration. You'll receive a README.md template outlining the required sections for your submission. It's important to populate this template accurately, as it will serve as your project's entry for prizes. Ensure timely completion and submission through the provided platform to be eligible for consideration.
Prizes
Hack Nights will have a $1,000 prize pool that we’ll be drawing from. Prizes of monetary value will be awarded to the following teams (where they’ll choose how to split it):
-
1st place: $500 worth of prices
-
2nd place: $300 worth of prices
-
3rd place: $200 worth of prices
Judging Criteria and Winner Selection
Judging will be performed by a mix of professors and UB Alumni currently working in the industry! We’re currently borrowing the UBHacking judging guide linked here.
