00:00 - My wife is a resident doctor. Their pay was not eroded by the Tories overnight. It equally cannot be restored in a heartbeat. This industrial action is in no oneâs interest.Decisions I have taken mean that Resident Doctors have had a 28.9% pay increase covering the last three years. These are not grounds for strike action. And most BMA resident doctors didnât vote to strike. I will be meeting the BMA today.
