I’m thankful for 4 years in California .
But, the Next Phase is in Texas.
We shift our hiring focus to build huge operations in Austin, Texas.
Join us ! The team is really great. @fab2
New 120,000 square feet HQ for R&D and production:
We are building Atomic Studio to match the speed of our fab. It’s fast, browser-based, and collaborative. Layout, schematic, and simulation.
Here’s a side by side of Studio (left) and Klayout (right) moving through the same file.
We talked to a few hundred students at Waterloo and CMU this week about building small, fast semiconductor fabs. Interns build the hardware and software tools in our fab. You get a credit card, space in our lab, machine shop access, and great mentors. The rest is up to you.
This year we’re aiming for 20% of company to be interns and >50% conversion rate to Full Time Engineer.
Anton built Fab tools
Christine wrote firmware to make them work
Bilal is building an amazing laser
Thanks for the long hours and all the inventions
Next batch of 15 in Jan.
A highlight of my recent US visit was finally meeting @szeloof and getting a bit of a tour behind the curtain at @fab2. Truly incredible stuff, absolutely going to change the world
We're building something with Rust + WGPU, + billions of polygons, field simulations, fast multiplayer sync, constraints, auto-routing, lots of graphs, etc at Atomic Semi right now.
