#NELeg votes 32-15:on cloture, failing to end debate and effectively killing LB626, which would have prohibited most abortions in #Nebraska after about 6 weeks of pregnancy.

Nebraska students are planning walkouts in protest of anti-trans bills. School officials should support that civic engagement. Read our open letter to school administrators:

Central High students are walking out to protest LB574 & LB575, #neleg bills targeting trans youth. NE’s Planned Parenthood rep will be there. “We refuse to tolerate the NE legislature’s continued attacks on transgender youth.” Deleted prev tweet b/c of student contact info.

The Nebraska Supreme Court has ruled that people who have served a sentence for a felony conviction can register to vote under a new state law. They argue Secretary of State Bob Evnen was wrong to pause registrations under LB 20 without a court having ruled it unconstitutional.

80% of Nebraskans who voted in our May primary voted by mail. Voting by mail is secure. It's effective. It led to record turnout.

There is NO WAY (ZERO!) that Mail-In Ballots will be anything less than substantially fraudulent. Mail boxes will be robbed, ballots will be forged & even illegally printed out & fraudulently signed. The Governor of California is sending Ballots to millions of people, anyone.....

BREAKING: Today on behalf of ProBLAC and other Nebraskans calling for racial justice, we’re suing the City of Omaha, challenging excessive force in the arrest of Black Lives Matter protesters and seeking court orders to protect future protests. Watch our channels. More to come.

Let's send some appreciation to the senators who are doing all they can to protect our rights and stop the near-total abortion ban. Special thanks to @NebraskaMegan and @senatormachaela for opening our faith leader press conference. #NEleg

Under LB 371, anyone who knowingly brought a youth under 19 to hear these two read a book about unicorns could be criminally charged and face up to a year in jail and a $1,000 fine. Drag is art. Drag is free expression. And bills like this have NO place in Nebraska. #NEleg

A Nebraska school told this mom they could only publish her trans daughter's deadname in the yearbook. The mom turned to the ACLU. Our lawyers initiated rapid response and the school quickly changed course. Students, know your rights at our one-stop site: transnebraska.org
