I hope this book is a useful resource for @CSTvoice leaders. It is intended to bring together our thought leadership over the years into the three nested leadership narratives of trust leadership (leadership of your organisation), civic leadership and system leadership.
As always, this episode of Mind the Gap a great watch. @LeoraCruddas has an excellent new book coming out with @JohnCattEd early in 2025, called NEW DOMAINS OF EDUCATIONAL LEADERSHIP. Check it out here: amazon.co.uk/Domains-Educat…

Proud to receive my CBE today at Windsor Castle. I want to pay tribute to all colleagues in schools and trusts who enacted such incredible duty of care during the pandemic - and continue to do so. It is such a privilege to work in education.

Important statement from Kevan Collins @educationgovuk: "The very best intervention for catch up is to provide children with the highest quality teaching ... So this is why everything we do, must be underpinned by a commitment to support our teachers to be the best they can." Yes

So some exciting news this morning - I'm delighted to say that I have been appointed as Visiting Professor at UCL @IOE_London. Really looking forward to working with @QingGu2 and colleagues in the Department of Learning and Leadership. I could not be more proud. @CSTvoice

I'm sorry but this is an outrageous article and an outrageous claim. Let's stop reducing women in professional life to the functioning of their bodes. We do not say these things about men in leadership and it is frankly insulting. @thetimes

I’m increasingly impatient with this. It is an absolute nonsense that the TRA - the regulatory body for teachers- accepts ‘complaints’ from the general public. Professional misconduct is a matter for employers and the police. We must stop this now.
😡 A surge in teacher misconduct referrals has been 'driven' by a spike in parents going directly to regulators with complaints, officials believe Read more 🔽 buff.ly/3WGjywS

Thank you so much for all the wonderful messages. It is truly humbling to be honoured in this way. It is a privilege to serve in public life and to hold a position where I advocate on behalf of the wonderful @CSTvoice members and those working in education. 1/2

Current arrangements for schools remain in place for now. We have had some details from the PM tonight. Important not to act pre-emptively. We will work out the safest possible way forward together. @CSTvoice will be there for you. I'm reminded tonight of the power of education.

Just interviewed by @Geetagurumurthy on @BBCNews about the importance of the COVID vaccine for school staff. Those with a clinical need, older people, NHS and care staff should receive vaccine first. School staff should then be prioritised. Education is a national priority.

Thank you Steve - I couldn’t have done this without you.
Huge congratulations to my boss, inspiration and friend @LeoraCruddas for her well deserved CBE honour. Leora is quite simply public service personified. She is one of the very best people I know and I’m so happy to be starting 2022 by celebrating her awesomeness.

No. If this is correct it is a travesty from which education in England will not recover. This must never happen.

Words do indeed matter. The words we use as leaders have meaning and power, as the events of tonight have shown. We will choose our words carefully and wisely.
