- Louisiana GOHSEP reposted8p EDT 8/12- Besides TS #Erin, we are watching two areas with low chances of formation. The newest area is in the southwestern Gulf, with a 20% chance of a tropical cyclone forming during the next few days. More: hurricanes.gov
- Louisiana GOHSEP repostedNHC continues to monitor a gulf disturbance for possible tropical cyclone development and presently gives it a 10% chance of formation over the next couple of days. Regardless of development, the low is expected to bring periods of heavy rainfall across the area through Saturday.
