Nothing is really as chaotic as it seems.

It’s funny how you can be surrounded by people but still be lonely. Well, I guess it’s not that funny. It’s crazy how we can talk to the same people over and over again and expect a different result when they behave the way they always do. Well, I guess it’s not really that crazy.

I am the designer of my own catastrophe. I get to decide. It’s been 5 years in this new life- and I’m still getting used to the fact that I get to decide. All the decisions are mine.

I often wonder if the little lessons I teach the kids at home school are sinking in. Their recent handwriting homework was this verse:
"Be with wise men and become wise. Be with evil men and become evil." Proverbs 13:20
WELL, today Lexi got in the car after gymnastics and told me how some girls were not so friendly, so instead of being sad about it or arguing, she decided to surround herself with the girls that would be kind and loving towards her. She then quoted "I remember if you are with wise friends it is good and if you are with evil friends you will make bad decisions" -- I was really touched by that and I felt, for the 1st time since home schooling, that this is all worth it.

Testing from new tablet ---

I got a new laptop that swivels into a touchpad tablet and is awesome! It comes with a wacom pen so I can use it in photoshop and edit my photos with it...it is SUPER cool and makes editing AWESOME! I'm really excited :) I wrote all this on the tablet function and it translated perfectly... it is the little things that impress me LOL

Two of the hardest things I have ever had to learn are grace, and extending it to others. I think of all the ways I have judged people, and put them down without knowing all of their circumstances, and it is embarrassing to me. All of us in this world are just trying to figure it out, and some of us don't make the best choices at times.

I am glad that today I stand as the person I am, and that I have learned to stop judging people (I am not perfect, but this is no longer an issue in my life) and instead offer them kindness and grace. It's good to remember the mistakes I have made and where I have come from.

Well, all settled into our new house in corpus christi, tx...the house is beautiful and there's so much to do here! Can't wait to explore more. Pictures to come later!

This is something that affects our every day life because of our son-- so please do take a couple seconds and vote. We personally are a part of this organization and JT PERSONALLY participates in the studies they are doing. We are ranked at #5 w/ only 13 days to go...we can make this happen! :)

You know....I have stayed pretty quiet on my disdain for obama, and for our current government. You all know I don't tend to go on political rants...
But this is ridiculous....I truly believe the majority (no, not all of you, because I know my friends on here are quite the self educators) of people who are for socialized health care are rushing into it w/out valid information- please, for the love of god, learn people...learn your own bheliefs and know all the tiny details you can...

I whole heartedly agree that health care in the us must be reformed- but I don't think it must happen so rapidly, and at the cost of buying into something at the loss of what "the people" really want. I agree with so much of the "left's" progressive nature, but why are we excusing lies, literally buying government votes, and etc. WHY has this become the norm and WHY are we okay with "dirty politicians?"

I know...this is all over your friend pages, different entries, different views, and such- and you probably skim over this as you will the rest of them... but ask yourself, truly, at what loss are we deciding to rush this and excuse the nasty behaviors of our politicians? I don't care what side you're on, ask yourself - why are we allowing the government to be something it wasn't supposed to be- government run- I want to make my own health care decisions, and I want my kids to have that freedom as well. When will this society stop feeling sorry for themselves and expecting the hand out? Why have so many of us been raised to believe this mentality?

Doing well. In fact, doing great.

Finding a new circle of friends was a good idea after all, even if I miss a few of them.

Possibilities of Anchorage are looking really positive, which is sooooo exciting! :)

Anyway, I'm faaaar away out of town, having a kid free vacation with Zac for 5 days!
