What exactly is home care?

There are different types of home care. Home care naturally includes the care you receive from the nurse who comes to your home. Help with washing and dressing is also part of home care. As is help with housework.

But also guidance with other daily activities can fall under home care. Do you want to know what else we do? You can read it on this website.

Do you have questions?

Question and answer

How do I request home care from TWB?

Anyone can apply for care from us. A district nurse will determine in a personal interview whether you actually need care. We call this an indication. You can read more about this on the page Care at home.

For help in the household you need an indication from the municipality. We call this a Wmo indication. You can read more about this on the page Help at home.

How can I reach you in case of emergency?

Do you have an emergency? For example, you have fallen and can no longer get up by yourself? Or are you in a lot of pain? Then call our Care Center on 088 560 2000. You can reach us day and night. Is there a life-threatening situation? Then call 112.

Do you have a question that can wait? Then call us during the day between 9.00:17.00 and XNUMX:XNUMX. That way we keep the phone line free in the evening and at night for people who need our help quickly.

Do I pay for home care myself?

There are various pots in the Netherlands from which home care is paid. For care that you need temporarily, the health insurer usually pays. For help at home, the municipality pays a part. You can read more about this on the page Help at home.

Do you need permanent intensive care? Then the health insurance office will pay a part. You can read more about this on the page Long-term care.

And in some cases you pay a personal contribution. For example, Help at home and with Long-term care.

During the introductory meeting we will explain what applies to you.
