Hi! I’m Fatma. I read a lot. I write a lot.

I read from a lot of genres, namely literary fiction, sci-fi/fantasy, and romance. (I also love Irish fiction, Italian fiction, Korean fiction, and short story collections.) I’m drawn to books with lots of dialogue, detailed character work, lyrical prose, and compelling ideas. Some of my favourite authors are,

• literary fiction/historical fiction: Jane Austen (Pride and Prejudice is my favourite book), Sally Rooney, Sarah Waters, Lisa McInerney, Hannah Kent, Belinda McKeon, Magda Szabó, Elena Ferrante, Elif Batuman, Isabella Hammad, Alba de Céspedes, Colin Barrett

• romance: Talia Hibbert, Scarlett Peckham, KJ Charles, Ava Wilder
