Founded by Chris Rolph, TRYKA was the first British manufacturer to bring high-power LEDs to architectural lighting. From our original 36W linear grazers and PAR56 projectors to today’s advanced solutions, we’ve continuously refined and expanded our product range without compromising on quality.

Establishing the company with a long term vision and unique brand identity was key, the Tryka name (pronounced Try-Ka) reflects both our heritage—RGB tri-colour lighting—and our family values, inspired by our founder’s children, Ryan and Kya, who are now proud members of the close-knit team.

Operating from our UK headquarters, along with regional offices in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Spain, and Hong Kong, TRYKA partners with lighting designers, architects, and contractors worldwide. Our products shine in some of the world’s most challenging environments, with a legacy of installations that continue to perform, like the M Club in Belfast (2002) and Al Raya Tower in Kuwait (2004).

Tryka deliver 72,000 downlights spanning 23 different variants within 6 weeks of order for ADNOC project, U.A.E. A testiment to our flexibility, rapid lead times and quality UK manufacturing capacity.

Tryka transform the façade of the Mandarin Oriental hotel at Hyde Park, London using newly developed AURA projectors with custom RAL colour and cowls. Specified by dpa Lighting Consultants.

2015

Tryka develop custom PIXELFRAME luminaire for Four Points by Sheraton, Kuwait façade. A pixel lighting system suitable for architectural effects, imagery and video playback.

Tryka deliver complete lighting solution to St Giles Church, Cheadle with Lighting Dynamics UK; believed to be the first church in the UK to be solely illuminated with L.E.D. Lighting.

Kuwait National Assembly Building is delivered using LinkLED IP67 system with individual control

The Birdcage Bandstand in Brighton wins the Special Project award at the Lighting Design Awards. Lighting Design by Urban Projects.

Our Easy-Link™ system is developed. The worlds first luminaire system powered via RJ45 ethernet cable connections.

Tryka wins the award for Technology within the Kit category of Best Lighting Products. Our Colour Calibration service was shortlisted by the judges and awarded First Place by independent designers in the on-line voting process.

Coop Live. The UK’s premiere purpose-built music-first arena. Custom linear projectors with power balanced systems and direct DMX technology exclusively produced by Tryka, meet the arena’s complex demands of detail and electrical infrastructure.

Tryka support Flynn Talbot with the supply and installation of lighting for his highly commended Reflection Room installation in the Prince Consort Gallery at Londons V&A museum. Part of the London Design Festival.

Tryka Middle East office opens in U.A.E. to support our business across the Middle and Far East, as well as Africa.

Tryka deliver the façade lighting solutions for 7 towers as part of the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD) development in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Including bespoke linear systems and made to measure solutions.

Flexistrip launches as one of the first flexible linear LED tape products to be manufactured in the U.K.

Illumination of FIFA Globe for World Cup with Lightlife of Cologne.

Our first 110V driver leads to the debut of Tryka luminaires in Canada and the US, with our first Canadian Distributor appointed.

M Club Belfast, the first Tryka project is delivered with customised 1700mm RGB linear extrusions.
