It has been about two and a half years since I've posted anything in this journal. That's pretty crazy because a lot has happened that hasn't been documented. That's probably good and bad at this point. I haven't really been up to much at all in those two years.... well... I guess that really depends on how you look at it. I think when I last posted here I was working at Baskin Robbins. Aside from the fact that I was overworked and underpaid there were a few other reasons I choose to leave after two years a couple of jobs later I finally landed a job that I love.

I work at a school as an administrative assistant. Sweet! I work in doors, good hours, nights off, weekends off, good pay. Definitely better then the crazy schedule of retail.

Sadly me and the boyfriend broke up after 3.5 years. His decision, not mine. Bleh. We had talked about it and I was trying to do things to keep us together but I guess he didn't think it was going to happen. Of course it didn't feel good, I mean we had a great time together, did a lot, enjoyed a lot, but somewhere along that path I guess we ... or he thought we lost sight of where we were heading. I don't know really what happened. All I know is I tried to keep it together and it seemed like his decision was made up from moment one, that he didn't want to try or he led me on.

Aside from that I went to New York recently and met up with Bil, Pat, Alf, and Ashes that was definitely lots of fun. :) It was only a few days and I wish it was longer because we did have a lot of fun. We actually ended up playing Rock Band most of the time we were up there. Went to Six Flags New England, that was an adventure of it's own. To let you in on the events, Pat lost his car keys on a ride so we had to wait like 2.5 hours for a locksmith to get us a new set of keys. Lots of fun.

I got an Xbox 360 a couple of weeks ago, that's been fun but seems like it's a money pit. I deceided I"m going to buy my games used because I really honestly do not want to and cannot afford to pay $60 for a game. That's outrageous. Right now I have Battlefield Bad Company and GTA IV and Perfect Dark Zero in my little collection. Anyone looking to hookup for a game is more then welcome to hit me up for a game invite (Pretty much really only play Bad Company right now), my gamertag is Idip31 .

Other then that of course I'm up to meeting new people making new friends. Trying to keep my life a little more interesting then work then home, lol.

Okay so not sure if you read last, but yea, my car had to be fixed ('87 porsche) cost over 1K to fix what needed to be fixed. Needless to say, we (my dad, mom, and I) wern't too happy. I WILL NEVER reccomend Goodyear to anyone. They tried to replace all these parts that didn't need to be replaced, 'claiming' they would 'FIX' the problem. The problem... the car would not start. Goodyear said the car was not starting because the Ignition Coil, Distributor Cap and Rotar needed to be replaced. Grrr... We also brought them an ignition coil from an European Car Shop and Goodyear said the part was bad. *Gasp*.

So after they kept trying to get more money out of us we went to take the car to that European car Shop and they immediatly knew what was wrong... the system controller or the computer to the car needed to be replaced. Yea... that part cost 550!!!!! OMG! Not including labor...but it fixed the problem so yea. Anyway, we decided that i was going to get a new car from CarMax insteadi of driving the Porsche. So i got a 2005 Nissan Sentra with 8K miles! BRAND NEW CAR!!! w00t w00t!

Anyway, we were going to sell the porsche privately ...yea... so my parents left it in an elementary school parking lot (they didn't know it was school property at the time) and it was in front of a really busy street. Yea... well apparently sometime between 1:3opm and 5:45pm this past sunday someone broke out the window and stole the car cd player. Yea... sigh... passenger side window in pieces and the casing where the cd player was all damaged. Looked nasty. Damn bastards only did it to our car too. There were 4 other cars there all with CD players in there (removeable flaceplates) and they only broke into ours. GRRRR.

So of course we called the cops and my dad dusted for prints at home and then cleaned out the car. So it looks really good now, he put some construction paper.... yes construction paper over the stereo center and it doesn't even look like it was broken into. But, the fact still remains we still have to dig up more money to replace the window and stereo.

My mom was pissed saying "I can't believe that you work so hard for the money to improve your life and then someone smashes it because they wont' get a job to make a living". Yea... it is sad... but *shrugs* i guess you can never get away from it. My dad was pissed that it was on a busy street in the middle of the day in a good neighborhood.

I joked saying it was probably a pissed customer from my work, lol. But yea, i don't know what he's going to do with it now. I think just try to replace that stuff and then try to sell it again. At least, something to be happy about, they didn't mess with the steering column so we don't have to fix that or anything. Yay!

The nissan is an awesome car, just under 300 miles per tank and all the other good stuff, love the speakers in it, heheheh.

Anyway, i'm off.

If a scam artist has
contacted you or if you've been defrauded,
contact the FTC at www.ftc.gov
or 1-877-FTC-HELP

Anyway, here is my account....

I've been called twice, once yesterday and once today.

Yesterday
it was a layd, she sounded very nice and i didn't realize it could be a
scam but she's going on make the vouchers sound great and all. Then she
askes to verify my address, i say yes, then she asks me what bank i'm
at. I asked who she was with she told me again, went back into the
voucher thing.

Keep in mind, i was half asleep when she
called. So i tell her my bank name, and then she was like i just have
to verify some numbers on the bottem of your check. I know that those
numbers, the routing number and account number are basically all you
need to write an 'electronic check' becuase i paid with one for tuition
to my univeristy this year.

So i told her i didn't have that
information on me, and she persisted asking me if i had it memorized,
and checks around, account numbers, i told her no and i didn't feel
comfortable with her telling me the numbers. She made me feel stupid
"you don't feel comfortable with me saying the numbers?!"

After telling her i didn't she hung up.

Today
i got another call about 40 minutes ago and this time it was a guy. I
knew i was intrested so he's going on and on about it and then confirms
my address and wants my acount numbers. I told him i wasn't interested
and he starts to go on and on again.

I told him "Look dude, i'm not interested"
he replied, "well Michael, you're still on the line"
So i hung up on him.

The
reason i didn't hang up earlier is because i realize these people are
trying to do their jobs (even if they do or don't believe they are in
on a scam), i try not to be rude.

Hopefully they stop calling but i doubt it.

-Mike (Texas)

The number is 727-471-1407

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The people who have called me claim they are from some sort of travel network, i've bought something from them and they want to confirm my information to send me a package fulll of travel vouchers, 1/2 airline vouchers, 1 for 2 cruise tickets, etc. They just want to confirm routing number and account numbers on bottem of my check. Of course they say "The numbers on the bottem of your check". So... be on the look out if they start calilng you.

I have to wait til next time they call to write down company name, number, address and call back number so i can report them to the FTC and state Attorney General.
