Our Process

Step1

Step 1

Before We Meet

Let’s ensure we’re a good fit! Knowing how we work and the types of service that you’re looking for will let us know if we should work together. Then, before we dive into the ideas of your project, we want to know more about you and your space: Our questionnaire allows you to tell us more about your landscaping goals, challenges, visions, and preferences. (It takes most people about 15 min to complete.) We also ask for a few photos or surveys if you have them.

Step 2

Consultation

Our consultation includes a virtual walkthrough of your space and a brainstorming session to discuss a vision, possibilities, and more to suit your space, goals, and budget. We really want to know how you’re going to live in your outdoor spaces! This is a conversation with you on what your space can be based on your needs, along with visuals to help confirm ideas. You can choose to use this information to work on your project yourself if desired.

Step 3

Design Agreement

During your consultation, we may quote you a design fee and will send that as a written document for your signature and approval, as most of our clients are looking to have scaled plans created. Our design fees start at $800 and typically do not exceed $5000. They are based on the scope and scale of your project. As soon as we have that signed agreement and deposit in place we will begin designing.

(A majority of our work is design and build; however, there are a few types of projects that might not need a design for us to bid to replace them. We can create proposals after the consultation as deemed appropriate for the project)

Step 4

Document + Design

Our design phase begins with our team visiting the site in person to evaluate, document, and take measurements, which we then share with our designer. Our designer then applies the ideas and concepts reviewed during your consultation to the site’s scaled layout and adds details that will further bring your project together.

Step 5

Plan Presentation

Our plan presentation includes reviewing a fleshed out design, including sharing material information, plant photos, and more. You will have the opportunity to give feedback, add additional details, and confirm phases for the installation process.

For most projects, we will also share a budget proposal for you to review so that you can make informed project decisions when we share the final plan with you. For projects we install, we will have you sign an agreement, pay a deposit and add you to our installation schedule.

Step 6

Installation + Enjoy!

After verifying product selections as needed, we reach out to you a week before your estimated start date with specifics for the installation. During your installation, your designer is still your main point of contact to address any questions or concerns – you can also check in with the crew and project manager on site. We will also walk through your project before the crew completes the work and leaves the site to address any final concerns!

With your final invoice, we will send watering and care instructions for your new landscape. Then it’s time to enjoy and experience your new space! You can reach out to us at any time with questions about your plants or project and we will make sure you have the information you need to enjoy your landscape to the fullest.
