First, to Matt.

So, last night Erin, Dave, James, Mike, Sarah Jones, and myself all went out to Julian Price Park on the Blue-Ridge and had a lil BBQ. Fillet Mignon, Nathan's Hot Dogs, Burgers with garlic and feta/goat cheese, PBR's & Champagne, t'was AWESOME.
It was so beutiful outside, and I rode in the back of Roosevelt (Erin's new Truck) there and back (which made it an adventure) It was awesone.
Came home to my comics, and Fire & Ice (AWESOME MOVIE!), then had more fun later... Great night... A small word about comics this week... Luke Cage: Noir = cools. Ingognito = over, great. Invincible Iron-Man = sad, building to something HUGE I think... I've noticed that Marvel's BIG/CLASSIC names are becoming isolated more and more... Tony is loosing his mind, Thor lost Asgard, Hulk lost being the Hulk, and then there's Cap, something is bubbling deep withing Marvel's Universe... I feel that somethign massive will rise from the depths soon... I'm eager to see what will be.

Ok, so nothing HUGE has been going on, life continues as normal...
My lease is coming up and it looks like I'll be in Boone for at least another year...
Not horrible. I dumped WoW, and now I feel like I need something else to do...
WARHAMMER seems to be my next thing.
Oh man... comics... really just 1 comic that I feel I must discuss is:



DAREDEVIL #500
I won't go into the story leading up to it, but Matt Murdock has had a rough couple of years now, and with the Kingpin about to take over The Hand, and re-take NYC it looked like it was going to be a re-hashing of older ideas for DD that might have been neat, but kinda done before... instead ancient mechinations put Matt right where they wanted him, and Murdock has defeated Lady Bullseye, The Owl and Kingpin. He saved Foggy, lost his estranged wife Mila, and has become... the Master of The Hand.

Yep. He's now the head of The Hand... the most ancient, powerful, and deadly guild of Ninja ever known...with the power to resurect the dead, mind control, etc. This could get interesting, fast.

Part of issue 500 is a preview of a DARK REIGN title/inset called THE LIST, which had been somewhat obscurely referenced in other puplications... it seems kinda clear to me now that it's Norman Osborne's shit list. New NINJA-LORD Murdock gets on it pretty quickly. In the preview we see a meeting between a crooked cop, and bent judge, and a clean cop getting threatened... something spooks em and wham... ninjas. End result: bad cops/judge = dead.
Osborne reports that lots of crooked cops are showing up dead... and that he know's Murdock's behind it... it looks to Hawkeye (Bullseye) and says, "Looks like all of your Christmases came early."

I'm thrilled.

So, I picked up Comics yesterday...

HULK #600 -- HULK no more...? but I could have done without Stan Lee's lil' addition.
IMMORTAL WEAPONS #1 -- Awesome.
Green Lantern #44 (Blackest Night) -- cool... still kinda getting into this...
Hurcules #131 -- I might be getting ready to walk away from this title... it's me, not it.
Fantastic Four: The bridge #5 of 5 -- Awesome.
Black Panther #7 -- AND I'M OUT!
and Finally...

CAPT. BRITIAN and MI13 #15 (Finale')
This title is over for the time being (no word on it getting picked up or made into somethign else). It was fun while it lasted, and gave me humor, drama, horror, action, adventure, and yes vampires... all around great book to have read. Wish there were more liek this out there... cheers.

I live.

I read comics (and love them).
I stress over debts.
I try not to sweat the small stuff.
I sleep (a little).

I want to leave town more often.
I want to take long car rides on beautiful days.
I want to ditch all of my stess.
I want to sleep (more.)

I think I might be looking at moving to Asheville in the next few years.

So, for a number of reasons I haven't felt at ease or truly relaxed in a little over a week now... I go to sleep exhasted, but still tense, I wake up, and each morning that I do it's like I desperatly want to go back to sleep. (can't though, work.) Even on the weekends when I can oversleep like a mo'fo, I still manage to wake up anxious... (actually pissed that I've "wasted" soo much of one of my days off) Work is really starting to wear me down, and the stuff I do to turn-off/have fun are feeling like chores... I need an actual vacation I think... too bad I can't afford one. Heck at this rate I couldn't afford to take the days off, let alone do anything... (there goes the nagative thought train again) Nothing is working for me these days, something's off... I'm imbalanced. I want it to stop.

Long story short... Good'Ol' Wing-tips might be coming back...
I'm sure it has something to do with the fact that there wasn't Super-Soldier-Serum in his body when they got the autopsy... I'm a little sad, I really liked Bucky-Cap. Maybe my wishes will be granted and either just the serum will be saved, or if Rogers comes back, he won't want to be Capt. anymore... I love ya Steve, I wish people could let the dead stay buried.
