Please read these terms carefully before using TransmuteBox.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using TransmuteBox ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service.
2. Description of Service
TransmuteBox provides online media conversion tools for audio, video, image, and document files. The Service is provided "as is" on a freemium model.
3. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Only upload files you own or have legal rights to convert
- Not use the Service to infringe copyright, trademarks, or other intellectual property
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or abuse the Service
- Not use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Not circumvent rate limits or access controls
- Provide accurate account information
4. Intellectual Property
You retain all rights to files you upload. We claim no ownership over your content. The TransmuteBox name, logo, software, and documentation are our intellectual property.
5. Free Plan Limitations
The free plan is limited to 25 conversions per day and 100MB per file. We reserve the right to modify free plan limits with reasonable notice.
6. Paid Plans & Billing
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance. Cancellation takes effect at end of current billing period. Refunds are available within 7 days of initial payment at our sole discretion.
7. Limitation of Liability
TransmuteBox is provided "as is" without warranty. We are not liable for lost files, data loss, or damages arising from use of the Service. Our maximum liability to you is the amount paid in the last 3 months.
8. Service Availability
We aim for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance will be announced via status.transmutebox.com.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice. You may close your account at any time via account settings.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms periodically. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. We will email registered users about material changes.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union. Disputes shall be resolved in competent courts.
