Welcome to the TradeJournal WP Plugin! This guide will help you install, configure, and make the most of your TradeJournal plugin.
Installation
From the WordPress Plugin Directory
- Go to your WordPress dashboard.
- Navigate to Plugins > Add New.
- Search for TradeJournal WP and click Install Now.
- Once installed, click Activate.
Manual Installation
- Download the TradeJournal WP plugin
.zip file.
- In your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins > Add New.
- Click Upload Plugin and upload the
.zip file.
- Click Install Now, then Activate.
Getting Started
Create your first journal:
- Navigate to the Trade Journal section in your dashboard.
- Upload a CSV file of your trades to start logging them, then go to the post to make edits. Your NinjaTrader 8 CSV file must include columns: instrument, side, entry time, entry price, and exit price. Any other columns added will be ignored by the plugin.
- You can also manually create posts and add trades by clicking Add New.
Plugin Settings
Configure Your TradeJournal
- Navigate to TradeJournal > Options in the dashboard.
- Trading Setups: Add your custom setups to appear in dropdown menus for trade properties.
- Merge Accounts: Enable this option if using a trade copier and want trades from multiple accounts to appear as a single trade.
Pro Version Setup
- Navigate to TradeJournal > License.
- Enter your license key and click Validate License.
- Click Save Changes to activate Pro features.
Using Shortcodes
Available Shortcodes
[tradejournalwp_posts]: Add shortcode to your trading journal page.
[tradejournalwp_posts posts_per_page=”5″]: You can specifiy number of posts per page.
[tradejournal_overview]: Displays a summary of trade history (Pro feature).
