You are The Wheel of Fortune

Good fortune and happiness but sometimes a species of
intoxication with success

The Wheel of Fortune is all about big things, luck, change, fortune. Almost always good fortune. You are lucky in all things that you do and happy with the things that come to you. Be careful that success does not go to your head however. Sometimes luck can change.

OWenJ says i have to blog about this...

So lately all the 'cool kids' have been running rampant on twitter, destroying their servers with their tweets. Yesterday, via scoble's blog he posted about another 'next cool thing', radar.net.  It's like twitter for cameraphones.   Once you sign up, you get a unique email address that you can mail your camphone pics to.  Then you have to assemble your friends (one of the main reasons i'm posting this)   Once you have friends on the system, any pic you post is visable to your frienids (and they have varying privacy permissions beyond that, if you dont want to share with all your friends)   Each picture then can be the start of a conversation, with a comment thread attached to each picture.  There is also a nifty client program that is supposed to run on most java enabled phones.  I know the blackberry pearl runs it.   This  video demo does a pretty good job of explaining what it's all about.

If you want an invite (not needed but will auto-add you to my friends) or just my friend invite code, drop me a comment.

Timing wise, everything seems to be working together in my life right now. The year is ending, we're moving, I'm starting a new position, I'm moving my desk, etc.. It all seems to be coordinating nicely.

We get a week off work between xmas and new years. As we approach that vacation I'm finishing all the projects that tie me to my old position, and getting to a caught up state. After we get back from the break, i get to move to a new cubicle, in a quieter, less trafficked area, with a window that overlooks a nice wooded area that is frequented by wild turkeys. A new area for new challenges. I've been given a promotion, that keeps some of the better parts of my old job, but with more of a focus on project work. I'm still not entirely sure what that's all going to entail, but I'm excited nonetheless.

On the home front, our roommates are closing on their house Wed. morning. They're taking us with them. So over xmas break, we're going to get in there, paint, run wiring (we're going to do the satellite and ethernet properly) and get started on moving the small stuff. We're planning to actually pay people to do the heavy lifting this time around, sometime in mid January.

So everything changes all at once. It's exciting.

And in the middle of all of this, we're also hosting a biggish NYE party, the final Mansion party. Are we suckers for punishment or what?
