Otakon is coming up quickly!  
Cosplay Schedule:

• Friday:  The Courier from Fallout New Vegas, with Riannon as Mysterious Stranger.
• Saturday:  Scraggy, with Riannon as Poliwhirl and a bunch of other Pokemon folks.  Also New Vegas costumes again Saturday afternoon, probably.  Meeting up with a group that has a VULPES INCULTAAAAAAAA.
• Sunday: My Immortal group.  Riannon and I are Vampire and Dumbledore, we haven't decided who is who yet.  We are going to be complete assholes and it will be hilarious.

Otherwise, uhhh.  Not much in my life.  I had Drexel Orientation and it was super fun!  I'm really excited for college, and orientation made it feel like it was really happening.  I got myself a roommate while I was there.  She's a fashion design major who does theater costumes with some dabbling in cosplay.  She also writes a lot of fanfiction and roleplays and has been encouraging me to start writing again, which I was iffy about at first, but I think perhaps I'll give it a shot.  She also has some of the largest boobs I have ever seen in real life.  Like they must be at least E cups.  I keep wondering what it would be like to deal with that.  I bet running would be hard.  Maybe her back hurts a lot.

I have some kind of infection in my throat/mouth right now and I haven't been able to at solid food in a few days.  I am back down to 99 lbs and I bet I'll lose more this week, since the doctors weren't very helpful and couldn't figure out what's actually wrong with me.  orz 

I've been thinking about investing in a makeup airbrush, but that's about $200 and the makeup is more expensive too, I think.  Perhaps I should just save money for college.  I have just been so interested in makeup lately.

 People these days seem to use tumblr, so I finally signed up.  I don't understand it.  It makes me mad because I don't understand it.  Why can't you comment on people's posts?  This seems like something you should be able to do.  Or maybe you can and I just don't know how.  Does everyone just repost other things they find?  Like am I allowed to post like I post on livejournal or is that weird?  how does anything work on here  I FEEL LIKE I'M TAKING CRAZY PILLS.  

So y'all should either 1) explain to me what the balls a tumblr is  and 2) friend me on it.  or...whatever the equivalent of friending is on there.

 Ugh, I had a huge ass post that I wrote today, and when I tried to post it LJ was like "um you have no body text" and the entire post disappeared.  So, sorry, but here's a shortened version.  

• Finished Fallout 3.  I liked playing as evil a lot better than good.  Blowing up Megaton made me feel kinda horrible but Tenpenny Tower is a deliciously fancy place.  And it has Mr. Burke.  <3   Fallout costumes for Otakon are definitely happening.  I'm thinking Pint-Sized Slasher, perhaps, but I know I'll change my mind like 8 times between then and now.
• I started playing Fallout New Vegas.  All I have to say is....Fisto.
• Tomorrow is graduation!  My mom bought me a Green Man suit to wear under my gown, and said she'd only pay for it if I wore the hood and stuff on stage.  GUESS WHO'S GETTING ESCORTED OFF THE PREMISES~
• My dad took me shopping in New York and I bought a big black floppy hat that makes me look like a snooty lady on a yacht. :D  Also I guess clothes and stuff.  I think I already said this, but I'll have a fashion post coming soon.

First day of kindergarten, 13 years ago.



This morning!  Last day of high school forever!  It feels so surreal.  People say I'm going to be sad, but my two favorite things are not being sad and telling people that they're wrong.  So I think I'll be just fine.  

I've been working on a Fallout 3 picture that I promise to actually post when it's done. Other than that, I don't have much else happening.  The weather has been really nice, so I've been actually putting effort into my outfits.  I'll make a fashion post some time too.  
Graduation is next Saturday.  If you find yourself in the middle of Pennsylvania, you should come.

It seemed strange to change topics so quickly in my last post, so have another one!  WIth happy things.

I only have about 17 days of high school left.  It's really scary, but I'm also super super super super excited for college!  Except everyone tells me I am going to get mugged a lot when I move to Philadelphia, so that is kind of putting a damper on everything.  C'mon guys.

Tonight is junior prom!  My darling prom date Walker and I are going to Kiwi Yogurt (kind of like Pinkberry) beforehand, and taking pictures downtown.  It's also Free Comic Book Day, so I am going to go downtown (in my prom dress, of course) and hopefully meet up with the 501st Legion, since they are supposed to be there for a bit.  I will bring my Darth Vader helmet.  

I really want to start some cosplay stuff but I haven't really picked a costume yet.  Hurm.  Kind of want to do some more pokemon gijinka.  I don't do nearly enough bright and colorful costumes.  

I'm pretty sure some of you live in the area that the tornado outbreak is hitting.  My town is supposed to be hit within five minutes.  I'm really scared.  :/   We've never had a tornado warning before.

I had basically resigned myself to going to Penn State.  Drexel still hadn't gotten back to me, May 1st was getting closer, and I was trying to warm up to Penn State as much as possible.  Sure, I'd be basically in my mom's backyard and wouldn't get that experience of being somewhere new all alone for the first time, and I'd be going into a major that sounded safe and kind of boring, but it would still be fun and exciting.
Today I got an email.
 I got into Drexel for video game art and design this fall. 

with a $20,000 a year scholarship.    :']

I cried a little.  My dad sounded really excited for me on the phone.  My mom wasn't mad at me like I thought she'd be (I was pretty sure she'd kill me if I didn't decide to go to Penn State).    It was really a wonderful day.

In other news, I asked a boy I've never met to junior prom, a hilarious endeavor that somehow actually worked.  Poor kid seemed so confused and scared, but once I explained that he and I have a ton of mutual friends but somehow he and I have never met, and that we were all going in a group so he wouldn't be alone with me he was like "uhhhhh oh gosh yeah ok I think I can do that!"   
He kind of reminds me of my dad.  Super formal (he wrote me a facebook message after I asked him saying "Dear Rachel,   I have some questions regarding prom..."  and he wears suits to school a lot), really polite, a bit awkward, taller than me and really thin.  He also saw that I was in a relationship on facebook and messaged me to make sure that Riannon was okay with us going together, and to ask what color my dress was so we could match.  <3

I've been playing Pokemon White a bit lately.  Not often enough though, I'm only on the third badge.  >_>  But I like it.  I named my trainer Bianca but then your friend is named Bianca and I was v. sad.   So I named her Mira.  I like my Snivy a lot.  Think I'm making a Snivy costume for Tekkoshocon, which I'm now going to.  Should probably finish making the gun for my Shepard costume.  and...make that Snivy costume, ha.

I have four tests tomorrow including the National Spanish Exam, but I don't really feel like sleeping.  or studying.  Such is life as a senior.  >_>  There's a lot of geography on the Level III Exam and I don't know a thing about Latin American countries.


I keep slipping into a like...Queens accent?  A really deep one.  It's hilarious.  Not sure why.  I will make a voice post with it some time because it's pretty hilarious.
