Congratulations to Mr. Marty Graham! Our TOMS 2025-2026 Support Staff Member of the Year! Mr. Graham is a Mod–Severe Paraprofessional in our Special Education Department who serves students with compassion, patience, care, and heart. He truly believes in his work and his purpose, and it shows in the way he goes above and beyond every day to ensure our students feel safe, valued, and capable of success.

National History Day logo 2026 with Ten Oaks Middle logo

Ten Oaks Middle School is proud to announce that eighth-grade students Perla Diza Vargas and Andrea Chavez Garcia have been selected to present their National History Day website at the National Archives in Washington, D.C.

Perla and Andrea are among just 12 student entries from across the United States chosen to participate in this special showcase hosted by the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) Foundation. Their project will be featured alongside exemplary student work from across the nation.

Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation Leadership Partnership graphic

HCS is proud to announce the launch of our Presidential Leadership Partnership with the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation. The foundation offers a leadership simulation in which students won’t just learn about history, they’ll live it by taking on the roles of President Reagan, cabinet members, military leaders, and even the Press Corps to resolve an actual historical crisis: 1983’s Operation Urgent Fury.

HCS School Report Cards Graphic

Horry County Schools’ performance on the 2025 state report cards, based on overall ratings, shows that 38 out of 57 district schools were rated as Excellent or Good. Of those, 16 HCS schools were rated Excellent and 22 were rated Good, while 18 earned a score of Average.

HCS Scholars Academy High School is ranked #1 of all 1,309 schools in the state, earning a report card score of 99.7 out of 100!
