TMAK Restoration just finished turning my sad and ugly 1980’s kitchen into the beautiful heart of the home it was meant to be. After talking to several other contractors and getting quotes from each, we hired Mike McCandless and his team. Right from the get-go I was impressed with his candor and honesty. The entire job was going to be a challenge and we knew we were going down for a lot of money, which is why finding THE right people was so important. We extended the work to include a full gut on the laundry room, and painting throughout most of the house. We’re talking a BIG job! Mike and his team were amazing! The kitchen is 90% complete (waiting on flooring) and it is like a dream come true. They were extremely helpful with every aspect of the work. They walked me through everything, things I never thought about or considered since this is my first big remodel. Everyone was skilled, patient, professional, and prompt. It only took a few weeks, not months to get a working kitchen and laundry room back. My neighbors were shocked at how quickly and efficiently the work got done! The value offered for service was excellent. They always went above and beyond my expectations. We kept adding little things to their work load which they graciously tackled without any problem. When spending such a significant amount of money on such an important part of our lives, I prayed that we would make the right choice. We absolutely did! Our home is more beautiful than it’s ever been and we will get to enjoy living here for many many years to come. When I moved into my house in 1992 it was modern and chic. However, after 33 years it was an eyesore. Mike was very professional and patient throughout the entire process. He was the third contractor I had look at the job and his personality and knowledge and reasonable estimate convinced me to hire him. I really wasn't sure what I wanted the new kitchen to look like, but he guided me through several possibilities. He met with me at various warehouses and show rooms so I could make rational decisions for countertops, back splash and kitchen cabinets. He took me to his cabinet makers shop so I could see various options. He was willing to make revisions in designs to accommodate the changes in my thinking as the project evolved and as I expanded the project to include the family room and painting of hallways and other bathrooms. He explained the process and when and why each step had to be done. I am very pleased with the outcome of the entire project.Load more
