Entry into a Bachelor of Animation program in Malaysia is governed by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA). Typical requirements include:

Bachelor's Programs:

• A-Levels: Pass in 2 subjects with minimum CCC
• STPM: Minimum CGPA 2.50
• Foundation in Arts / Design: Minimum CGPA 2.50
• Matriculation: Minimum CGPA 2.50
• International Baccalaureate (IB): Minimum 24 points
• UEC: At least 5 Bs including English
• Diploma in Animation / Multimedia / Design: Minimum CGPA 2.50

SPM / O-Level / IGCSE Requirements:

• Minimum 5 credits including English

Other Requirements:

• Portfolio submission (sketches, drawings, short animation reels) — strongly recommended
• IELTS 5.0–5.5 or equivalent for international students

Postgraduate Programs:

• Master's in Animation / Visual Effects: Bachelor's in Animation, Multimedia, or Design with CGPA ≥ 2.75 + portfolio
